CBS NEWS: 2 US Soldiers killed, 6 wounded
Edited on Fri Aug-22-03 05:37 PM by Cush
in the last 24 hours.

Iraqi's are saying that Americans simply don't understand whats going on. "everyone in the security/police field" worked for Saddam

ABC: If former Iraqi intelligence officials are now working with foreign terrorists groups, it could become a nightmare scenario.

Now saying that the soldiers don't know who to trust.

I thought those soldiers were old enough to sign papers obliging them to do exactly what their superior officers and commander in chief tells them to do.

Silly me

6. The Majority of Them Come From Very Poor Backgrounds
and while the "choose" to go into the armed forces, if you are a young and have no job "opportunities" and are perhaps being pushed out of your house, what options do they really have...not much.

I know what you are saying, but they are now stuck over there in 110 degree heat wearing all of the required gear and being shot at.

And they are all someone's child...just as each Iraqi that have been killed and are being killed are someone's child.

This war is wrong. This war will have no resolution. This war will end with our troops having to come home with no "victory" acheived and with a nation despising us for the occupation of their land.

Our AWOL President who likes to put on his GI JOE Flightsuit and prance around with the boys on the Lincoln Aircraft Carrier should have to spend one week living with our troops over there.

Bring them home.

9. One way out of this mess...foot sandwich
Either way you spin it, Bush will have some tasty toe jam if he wants to get us out of this. Either

a)he'll have to pull the troops out
b)he'll have to actually get some allies
c)he'll have to send more American troops in, despite their perfect number of forces that he assured he sent there already.

Either way, he'll be admitting he was wrong. Which means he'll probably keep the status quo so he'll "look Presidential." And I don't like what option A will mean for the Iraqi people, now that we've blown their infrastructure to hell.
