So, let's review this terror threat.
On Sunday, they said that they were elevating the terror alert. A lot of people here thought it was a political ploy. They actually give some specifics. Now, today, the info has beem determined to be 3-4 years out of date. Geez, that was a quick fall. So, is their credibility totally on the rocks now?

1. It is worse than that
playing these kind of games can cause people to get killed if the real thing does happen

2. I was not considering that.
It's like "The Boy Who Cried Wolf" all over again. Only even scarier. It is horrible. At first I was laughing at the utter stupidity of the Repulsivecans, but this is not funny at all.

27. There's a law against yelling FIRE in a crowded theater,
so isn't there a law against using terror alerts for your own political gain? Dems in Washington DC should be screaming at the top of their lungs, especially Hillary, since the last thing the brave people of NY need is to be scared to death. Why isn't any Dem besides Howard Dean speaking up and saying this is BUSHIT!

3. This oughta be a crime
Bush "signed off" on the Code Orange on Sunday a.m. and he knew full well the information was old.

5. That's the problem with 'crying wolf'
when there really are wolves out there.

17. That's the whole point
"Crying wolf" as in the fable has consequences. The boy’s flock is actually consumed by a wolf as the village ignores his now familiar cry.

Just because someone is crying wolf doesn't mean that there are no wolves. It just means that when a wolf attacks no one will be ready for it.

14. NYC has been on Orange Alert
since 9-11, not sure about DC and New Jersey

More than one news source/talking head has made a connection between bush*'s poll numbers and the release of a terralert/warning

back in April when A$$croft and Mueller held a press conference to remind us to be afraid -- several stories made mention of it possibly being politically motivated

It appears, now, every terralert will be suspect

16. Campbell Brown (NBC) to Condi on the evening news:
I'm paraphrasing here, but after mentioning the alerts are coming on the heels of the convention, Campbell Brown asked "Dr." Rice the following: "Knowing what you know about the intelligence on these latest terror alerts, can you definitively tell the American people that the alerts are not politically motivated because of the timing."
Brown made no mention on the age of the intelligence that I recall.

I about fell out of my seat when I heard her ask this. Can't recall Condi's answer verbatim but of course it was some pat, bullshit answer.

11. There's a club for people like that
The Procrastinator's Society

A few years ago they showed up for the Battle of Hastings in full armour.

Maybe Dubya's crew should have reacted to this threat when it actually came in.

13. I think the info came from that guy
they told Pakistan to catch in time for the DNC convention, and Pakistan caught him on time..trouble is, the guy had old info. but they used it to raise the terror color code and yell The terrorists are coming..one if by land and two if by sea.

15. "So, let's review this terror threat."
No, alas, their credibility never seems to be on the rocks -- not with the plethora of mainstream media parasites and prostitutes and not with their deluded followers.

I'm so angry. I'm angry at me. For a second, I thought there might be something to all this. I've been fooled twice (well really far more than that). Shame on me.

18. What's really strange.
What's really strange is the fact that they announced where our police will be. Now the terrorist know where not to go. Plain silly.

19. What is the cutoff elapsed time to ignore a threat?
What would Kerry use? A month? Year? Days? Is there a standard expiration for major threats on American targets?

26. As credible as the 1978 Soviets
Can you fall much lower than that?

Lying Propgandists after they reach a certain point are Lying Propagandists, no matter what their specific methodology.
