Regarding Randi Rhodes "race change" to a black woman-
Can she just shut the fuck up already?

In a time when blacks are concentrating on looking PAST race and color, it's some of the most embarrassing pandering I've ever heard.

I hope she drops this after she returns to the air now that the convention is over.

Enough already.

2. As I said earlier, Randi just rubs me the wrong way

Part of it is her gross generalization and over-simplification of things, and the other part is the ego and overbearing personality. Sorry. She has her heart in the right place, I think, but I suppose I'm too desperately boring to agree with her way of putting her message across.

3. What happens after the Democrats win back the oval office?
I have been wondering about what will happen to the flow of goodwill towards the Democrats once they win back the Oval office. Will we expect more from people like Randi Rhodes than the conservatives expected from Limbaugh? And what about the Democrats falling back into patterns of patronage that became the source of their downfall? It's not just the old Dem networks (of which there are many in Massachusetts), but you know as well as I do that there are organizations that flip-flop with the party in power.

Maybe we should start sending the message that this time it had better be different. Especially since the trend is increasingly to register Independent. Personally, I think partisan primaries should be eliminated.
