1. Yes but that is a very popular song and if the ticket can identify with it
Edited on Wed Jul-28-04 10:02 PM by wndycty
. . .it could be very useful in getting the younger vote. I would recommend that if the song is adopted by the ticket people request the shit out of that song it could very helpful.

Sharpton haters over reacting. . .what did you expect. . .
. . .they had so much "padding" that they could easily make up that time.

23. My guess
is that the break between Sharpton and Graham was non-existent because they shuffled Sen. Bob right out. Probably kept on schedule that way.

40. Oh for fuck's sake.
After the speech Edwards gave, if swing voters decide to vote for Bush because of a fucking song, they are a lost cause. You could make just as much an argument that constantly having a stick up your ass turns off young voters.

Jesus why do we do this to ourselves?

Regardless of musical tastes (and the Black Eyed Peas are no Two Live Crew), I noted that the camera panned over an older Navy man who was waving his hands. And at that same moment, I realized one of the most important aspects of our party; One of the most beautiful ones- Tolerance.

49. Wasn't that GREAT!
I mentioned that too. That, along with whatever invisible ether the convention has evoked, gave me a faith, an optimism, a renewed friendship with my own country. I had given up. But that made me realize that there is a soul, a heart, in places where one would least expect it. It's beautiful. Finally. I don't think any of us have felt like this before. Even in 1992. I hope it continues to bring us together. I would love to think that my prejudices could dissolve. Bring on the old retired Navy men, and the old ladies who want to be free to enjoy life. Ok, I'll quit. :0Þ

51. I know, me too
It's infectious, hitting people in their hearts and in their guts. Even the MSNBC people, despite what they had to say, were obviously excited. Scarborough said tonight that "he could vote for this ticket", I don't think too many heard that but he said it. And did you see McAuliffe going wild when Edwards was saying we should talk about race everywhere? I've never seen McAuliffe get excited about anything and even he got caught up in it. But when you get an old vet rocking out to the Black Eyed Peas, you know something is happening!!

And to add to your stupendous dairy-analogy...this minor criticism is like the more-expensive Wheat Thin I overlook while looking for the appreciable price of the SALTINE CRACKER on which to apply my tasty "cheezwiz."

in 1993 Black Eyed Peas released "Where's The Luv" which includes the lyrics:

A War is going on
but the reason's undercover
the truth is kept secret
it's swept under the rug
if you never know peace
then you'll never know love
