Poll question: Rumsferatu
In my opinion Rumsfeld is the worst Secretary of Defense ever. He has turned world opinion against the United States, alienated longtime allies, destroyed US credibility, misled the public, bungled his way through a dangerous, ill-concieved war of choice, causing untold misery, and authorized egregious breaches of international law contrary to American values.

That's my view. How would you assess Rumsferatu's contributions to US foreign policy?

Also, can you think of any phrases that encapsulate his tenure as Secretary of Defense, like, I don't know, "unindicted war criminal"?

1. one of a bunch of bad apples,
where the bad-apple-'n-chief carries most responsibility.

Rumsfeld hasn't turned world opinion against the United States single handedly; the rest of the bad apples cooperate knowingly and willingly.

3. Bush's refusal to dump Rumsfeld sent a clear message
That Bush/Cheney stand for rape and torture.

Perhaps we should work to make Megan's law international. People of the world, keep your children away from this crowd.

9. Remember that TV series "V?"
It had a bunch of reptilian aliens that were trying to infiltrate human society. I'll bet it seems really stupid today.

11. I can believe that!
On "V" you were either with the aliens or against them! Anyone against the lizard rule was considered a terrorist.

Hmmmmmmm....

Anyone seen Rumsfeld down a guinea pig lately?

8. "Creepy" bout sums it up.
Clearly he has difficulty suppressing the messages coming from the old reptilian brain stem--I'm assuming he's homegrown and not an alien lizard bent on the destruction of humanity, but who's to say?

10. It's not Rumsfeld, it's Bush
Rumsfeld would not be a problem if Bush wasn't a problem.
