2. One of nature's cruel jokes
teaching babies how to grip things immediately, but not to let go of them for another eight months! My nieces were especially fond of gripping the string for the overhead light switch.

5. You don't have to teach babies to grip
they do it from birth, it's a natural reflex. And it's damn strong.

7. yep.....and Kerry gently held his hand, jiggling it, to try to
distract him. it didn't work, but that's what made it interesting

can you IMAGINE the chimp trying to deal with that?

he'd either have dropped the kid, SPECIALLY after it DROOLED on JK, gave him a swig out of his flask, or handed it off to somebody else, ASAP

he held the kid a LONG time

3. I saw it live
and Kerry handled in beautifully. He is great with kids. Just unbelievable.:bounce: If the Dems really want a bounce, they should show that clip over and over.

4. I had the sound off, and focused on the kid
it was SO funny

TOTAL, absolute concentration on that mic. his eyes were just lasered on it

couldn't help reminding me of the chimp, whenever a shiny, bright object is brought into his sightline......or, a weakened Arabic country with a lot of oil

11. He really is
And it is quite revealing of his personality. It shows his compassion and his gentle nature. This is, of course, in stark contrast to the fidgity and cold demeanor of W. Does W hold many babies? I can't recall that he does, and itseems to me that Kerry holds a lot more babies and in general enjoys being around the younger crowd.

12. I remember seeing a behind the scenes look at Kerry's site
David Wade who is one of Kerry's spokesmen seems pretty young. Yeah I think Kerry enjoys being around the younger crowd too and I can tell you this much, the music at his inguaral is gonna be way better than Bush's, heh that alone makes him better, I plan to attend that.

6. Dianne Rehm REALLY loves Clinton
they're showing off air stuff now

very interesting, human side of him

can't help but thinking of that THING that infests the WH today, and how HE'd be whisked away, instantly, not being trusted in public without handlers directing his EVERY move

9. Was channel surfing & saw this on CSPAN....OMG...Kerry was so sweet
...with that little baby boy....and I just smiled and thought "Wow, what a great guy he is" and admired his "handling" of the baby, and then I started laughing thinking about how the Dimwit would handle a situation like that....Dimwit would have dropped the baby...or started freaking out somehow....
