There's no record of Bush issuing any orders the entire day of 911???
Yesterday I read a TIME article titled "Who was in charge?" which states there's no record of Bush issuing any official orders whatsoever on 911. It would seem that whatever orders were given - in response to the first attack on our soil in over 50 years - they weren't given by the commander in chief. I put it to you; between his stellar performance at the elementary school, and the apparent fact that he spent a good part of the day hiding in the sky, how can ANYONE claim he was "decisive"?

It's hard to imagine such inaction from a US President during a crisis of this magnitude. Maybe it's because Bush's orders were already carried out earlier... by the terrorists.

Sorry if this is old news.

3. Have you read Clarke's book?
After reading his book it looks like he was in charge the first day and the others almost seem to be hiding scared. Does anyone else agree with that??

9. I certainly do
Everyone else was in hiding somewhere or in plain view in front of a second-grade class in his brother's state. He is not a leader IMHO! Never have we had a more ineffective leader at least not in the right direction. Remember: leaders can lead us astray, too.

5. yes he did
we all saw the picture of him giving orders over the telephone while running out of harm's way. :eyes: That proves he was in charge.

and you can buy it for $150 dollars.

In all that has been revealed about these arrogant lying pricks in the Bush administration, I now believe that picture was not taken on Sept 11, but was another staged event that they saw fit to lie about in order to make it appear Bush was indeed a strong leader and in charge.

It probably is another lie--

and breed these miniature horses to sustain themnself and their monastery.

They also have a gift shop full of ceramics that they sell in order to raise money, I am not sure, however, what their market is. The compound was certainly laid back and tourist friendly.

We were simply traveling about in our travel van in the state of Texas and happened to land here one day.

This baby was ,if I remember, less than a week old. It was so cute and so cuddly looking. It was so very cunning and cute and precious. Does it not look like a cute little stuffed animal that you would love to have sitting on your bed waiting to be hugged?

7. Shrub only gives orders
when Cheney tells him to announce them. Many of us (most?) on DU are aware that Shrub is merely a puppet controlled by the authors of PNAC - Cheney, Wolfowitz, Perle, etc. Remember how he refused to appear before the 9/11 Commission unless Cheney accompanied him? Cheney was the one giving orders on 9/11.

I still contend he did nothing because there was nothing to do but let their gambit play out then begin the remaking of America on 9/12.

25. You really believe Bush "knew"? You would go that far?
It is one thing to say he's an incompetent idiot. It is another to believe he was complicit in the murder of a couple of thousand Americans.

27. Yeah, I kinda do
That's what my gut tells me. My gut and the mountain of unexplained, covered up, and contradictory, events, behavior, and circumstances that enabled this tragedy. It took more than a simpleton leaving the barn door open.
