Someone persuaded poor, dear Nancy Reagan that research on human embryos might have saved her Ronnie from Alzheimer's. Now the rest of us are supposed to shut up because the wife of America's greatest president (oh, save your breath, girls!) supports stem-cell research. ...

But you can't blame Nancy. As everyone saw once again last week, she's still madly in love with the guy. She'd probably support harvesting full-grown, living humans if it would bring back Ronnie.

Nancy seems to have received a lot of sympathy from the folks at DU.

I'm one of those who went around in the 80s telling Nancy jokes, but I genuinely felt bad for her during the funeral, and in general because it had to be hard to watch a loved one suffer the way alzheimer's patients do.

once by her in which she ridiculed Max Clelland's sacrifice in Viet-Nam. In the same article she trashed Union members, after the sacrifices they made during 9/11. I have never read such a venomous person from any point in the political spectrum. A reporter should excerpt some of her remarks, and ask the Resident nit-wit if he agrees "with her statements"? Let him either trash her or himself.
