Did anyone see that insane re-pig Dennis Miller on Leno last night?
Bashed Kerry, Clinton, Dean, Kucinich... blew Bush...

But the most disgusting thing of all was his call for all these "unnecessary" commissions and investigations to stop. Yeah, you're quite the American, Dennis.

21. Miller is repulsive
in every sense. His caustic mean-ness, his sneering ugly disheveled fuckface (invest in a razor already - or are you hiding the fact you don't have a bloody chin?), his disregard for simple good manners (notice how when he has an even slightly left leaning guest on his 'panel of head nodding jackals' he starts raging and ranting and losing control when challenged on Anything?). He should get it on with Coulter and breed little weasel litters.

23. His "interview" with Eric Alterman is a perfect example of your point.
Did you see that? Miller acted like a pouty little baby. Alterman had enough of it and all but walked off the set.

I don't watch Miller regularly, but can easily imagine how it all played out.
He's such a despicable sell-out. He really disgusts me, physically too. I feel like having a shower after hearing that slug slime coiling out of his headslit.

but during the recall campaign Leno had Spanish subtitles on during his show, you couldn't get rid of them, i know i called The cable co. as i thought something was wrong with the box. Leno's show was the only one that had them, after the recall they went away. I think thats "Illustrious of something."

When your carrer is washed up, become a "born again Christian." Ever watch it? MC Hammer's on there. Kirk Cameron from that dumb 80's sitcom is on there. Efraim Zimbelist, Jr is on there for Christ's sake. Carol Lawrence. Gavin Mcleod from the damned Love Boat. All the burnouts are on there. Dennis will be poppin' up there soon, once CNBC gives him the boot everyone else has.

Edited on Sat Jun-19-04 12:53 PM by Alpharetta
CNBC is still a part of the GE NBC network family.

I imagine Leno goes with the flow when his bosses request a CNBC host (Miller) be given a guest slot.

8. I intentionally missed the show because he was going to be on
He needs to get a real job, right wing shill is being done by many many people who got there before him. How many ignorant blow hards will there be before the market is saturated? I think whatever number there was before Miller decided that schtick might revive his hopeless career. He just missed the boat and he doesn't know yet that he missed it.

Hello Dennis, when the country swings back to the left, we don't want you back. Air America won't be calling. We won't be watching your HBO specials. Go pump gas, gasbag.

Michael Moore partiotically trying to get at the truth.

Dennis Miller unpatriotically trying to shut out the truth by closing down investigations.

13. Is Leno the ONLY forum, besides his own, that will have that has-been?
With so many parallels to the Nazi regime that are being manifest here and now, I can imagine the number of entertainers/artists who either wholeheartedly supported -- or were forced to at least pay lip service to -- the Third Reich. (The Reifenstahl woman immediately comes to mind.) Dennis Miller can be likened to such people.

24. I was channel surfing and missed the beginning, but
even with the applause prompters the applause seemed spotty at best. A lot of his "jokes" fell flat and were greeted with silence. When people did clap, I'd estimate it was 1/4 to 1/3 the audience. During the next guest's time he made reference to an apparent heckling from the audience, which I either missed or was edited out for broadcast. Such an extreme loser.

I watched Dana on Letterman and he kept his skit going on Clinton, Gore and Kerry and he did a short segment on Bush.

He was trying to milk his old comedy routine for laughs.

I turned the channel and accidentally landed on Miller and i felt like puking.

Look back at his old SNL Bush skits. None of them were really nasty towards Bush, they were more like Bush just acting a bit over-the-top. He got more jokes by talking funny as Bush than doing any actual political satire.

but seriously.
am I just seeing/hearing things by my own skewness?

Take some 'lib' like comedic commentators like Bill Maher and Carvelle (from crossfire), Moore, just for examples. They have a hell of a wit about them and make their points so exquisitely and seem to have a great time using their gifts.

And then you have Miller and Coulter and Rush, who just leak with sarcasm and disgruntledness and flat out unbridled misdirected hatred.

Repukes are those who value conformity, personal restraint, conservative community values, extreme religiosity etc. These values are antithetical to humour. The vast majority of repukes take everything literally and that limits humour. And repukes do not value irony which is the life blood of humour (I read a very interesting article about that).

Therefore what they have available is sarcasm and vicious put-downs, humour associated with many adolescents.

36. I've stopped watching Leno ever since becoming..
..interested in politics.

The fact that he's sympathetic to the right-wing, while Letterman is clearly a patriotic American who leans Democrat, makes the choice obvious to me.

Dennis Miller's name isn't worth mentioning. He's a straight-up freeper type, it's almost disgusting. He seems as though he's being paid by the RNC, its that bad.
