10. I think

some of the newbies are legit. DU has been getting a lot of mention from mainstream press. I think some of these newbies want Bush gone and came here. Problem is, they have been getting their news from corporate media, and coming here has been a HUGE shock to them. They can't believe what they are seeing/reading. Imagine if you had been watching CNN, MSRNC, and Faux for 3 1/2 years and all of a sudden came to DU - that would rock your planet a bit. Some of these folks need to back track, go and search alternative news sources and get some background knowledge before diving into posting here.

Now, as for the others, I think we have a whole lot of a freeper/CU posters here of late as well. Whenever there is a major story these freeping lurkers come out like cockroaches at midnight. It's kind of fun to watch them out themselves like insects attracted to a bug zapper.

14. I am a "newbie" in posting only

I've been on DU since last fall when a friend of mine turned me on to it. However, I have only posted a handful of times. I am one of what I believe are thousands of "lurkers" who feel as strongly as those who have 1000 plus posts. Many probably haven't even registered so they can post. This website has made a huge impact on me and I am more active and vocal than I've ever been, even if sometimes to my detriment.

I started laughing yesterday watching our glorious leader's train of thought derail as he was expressing his "indignation" regarding the murder of Mr. Johnson. Sad thing, it's not funny.
