Kerry-REAGAN for '04!

What if Kerry picked Ron Reagan Jr. for his veep? How could the Repugs run attack ads against the son of Dutch?

Does Reagan Jr. have any political experience at all? What is his home state? California?

2. I saw him hosting a dog show on Animal Planet.
I don't think he has much political experience.

5. I believe they said he's living in Oregon now
He's a liberal, as is sister Patti. Maureen, the sister who died, was the one interested in politics, and Michael, the adopted son, is a conservative. Ron's more interested in the entertainment business--he's hosted a couple of talk shows, one about 12 years ago, the other time more recently.

3. I wonder what his political leanings are....
His speech at the funeral was quite interesting... the thumbs up and mentioning the middle finger......and his father ignoring it.... and his part about religion should not be a mandate but a choice....very subtle points to a opposing view of the present day administration and repub party

4. I read he was a liberal democrat
And he was constantly at odds with his father's party.

6. He is a progressive
He is occasionally a political commentator on Hardball with Chris Matthews. He is well-informed, articulate and has a great sense of humor.

8. He did not say religion should not be a mandate but a choice
this is what he said:

"Dad was also a deeply, unabashedly religious man. But he never made the fatal mistake of so many politicians wearing his faith on his sleeve to gain political advantage. True, after he was shot and nearly killed early in his presidency, he came to believe that God had spared him in order that he might do good. But he accepted that as a responsibility, not a mandate. And there is a profound difference."

7. Nah
but a ringing endorsement from Ron Reagan Jr would be very invaluable nonetheless.
