What Reagan taught me
That old intolerant regimes will attempt to change their labeling (compassionate conservatism) only to behave worse the second time around (Cheney, Rummy, North, Negroponte, Baker, Bush).

That fundamentalism is the true enemy of mankind. As they kill each other trying to prove who's god has the biggest penis, innocent people (collateral damage) are always the victims.

That slick image is a warning sign that they will resort to tricks and lipstick to deflect their real goals.

That whoever the corporatist and media push as their boy, that their boy can be bought.

you gotta lock up the thugs when you have a chance and throw away the key or they'll come back and haunt you later.

3. "tricks and lipstick...."
Well, in Reagan's case, not so much lipstick, but more a case of some really bad hair dye and a couple of rouged cheeks that looked like they were borrowed from Raggedy Andy.

The tricks were, of course, still there.
