All republicans on the news this Memorial weekend. Where are the Dems?
Nothing but speeches by republicans. Shameful.

One poster decried the brevity of the comments this weekend by John Kerry. On Saturday Kerry attended the afternoon dedication of the WWII Memorial with Joseph Lesniewski, one of the Band of Brothers who parachuted into Normandy on D-Day. http://www.johnkerry.com/pressroom/releases/pr_2004_0529.html

Where was the coverage? Where is the coverage of other Democrats who will certainly honor our troops this weekend?

2. You're forgetting all media owned by a few!
I haven't checked C_San. They usually try to keep it fairly even. What I've seen this morning, Rolling Thunder, who always get coverage, are supporting W. Maybe there's just not comperable popular groups like that supporting Kerry today.

3. It's really sad
I am so enraged over Bush appearing as if he is a great war hero and getting all this false advertising from the media.

I am simply enraged when I see his strut, palms backward, face upward, and pretending to honor our military heroes when he himself lied to put eight hundred of thme to their graves--FOR NOTHING

FOR NOTHING

and he was allowed to get away with it all. People are wildly cheering him --he was allowed to get away with it , took the ball and ran with it, over and over and over, scoring every time and if not, simply turned over the checker board and laughed at us all.

NO ONE objected. BUSH WAS ALLOWED TO GET AWAY WITH IT and that is the truth that must be faced. HE WAS ALLOWED TO GET AWAY WITH IT ALL. Face it.

We see him now, today, strutting and bloviating more lies in front of memorials and graves of young people--some of whom he sent to their deaths by lying to get them into Iraq. They were snuffed out by a coward of man who does not read, who is stupid and proud of his intellectual abyss, but proud of the fact that himself, as the Commander in Chief who gets to call himself the "war president" can have such power over life and death. He LOVES that image of himself.

Because he is chronically sick--insane-paranoid-without concern for anyone but himself--a narcissist and a pathological liar. A despicable excuse for a human being. Evil--

I hate this man.

4. The classic moment was Fox coverage of Kerry
They basically said he spoke, nothing about what he said, and spent an equal amount of time reporting that a woman chided Kerry at the speech by asking "how many veterans did you spit on when you got back from Vietnam? It was quite newsworthy, don't you think?

6. Oh really? I want to hear more about this. MORE to prove my own
point.

Thanks for posting this. MOST useful. I've been away from the TV all of yesterday (Sunday) and so far, today, too (although it's early).

I'd like to hear more. I've been invited to do a guest column for "Editor & Publisher"'s site - after I complained, myself (as a former journalist, about the bias in the coverage. I've just realized that most of my complaints are about the broadcast media, although I know the print media has its hands equally dirty but I don't have as many examples (beyond the lovely and talented Judith Miller at the NYTimes).

Please tell me more.

8. The elimination of the Fairness Doctrine by Ronald Reagan.
Which eliminated equal access of network coverage for both Democrats and Republicans.

We need to reinstate the Fairness Doctrine.

Muy importante!
