salin's take: Dick is going to keep rooting for Bush - but he needs to (in his mind) keep his image of being on the right horse. Thus, he gets all shrill about this ... knowing that bushco is not going to take the advice... then when bush loses... it isn't that Morris called it wrong or backed the wrong horse, it is that bushco didn't take his advice.
