Another piece to the Perfect Storm! AARP: Drug prices soaring
Let's see... Gas prices at a all-time high, The mess in Iraq and Afghanistan, New home sales tumbling, the econony, etc.... Can Bush turn it all around in 5 months? Me no thinks so...

<snip>
WASHINGTON — Prices for name-brand medicines most commonly prescribed for seniors have risen at least three times faster than inflation in the last four years, two groups seeking lower prices said Tuesday.

The multiyear price increases outstrip the discounts that will be available to seniors beginning June 1 with a new Medicare discount card. The Bush administration predicts savings of 15% or more for those who pay up to $30 a year to participate.

4. You bet they do
I was at my friends Aunt's house a few months ago. They are a military family. He was in the Navy, and their grandson is a marine. They live in a military town. The two things they are pissed about: School Vouchers and Drug Prices. I was shocked to hear that they were very anti-bush.

7. I talk to Srs. every day...
As part of my job. Ten years ago, they couldn't rave on enough about Repubs....moral, fiscally responsible, small government, etc. Boy, have they been bush*whacked---and they're not afraid to let Washington know, either. These folks were raised to vote--they are the WWII generation, or the older children of that generation. AND THEY ARE FURIOUS!!!! One kept me on the phone 15 minutes the other day ranting about *. THEY SEE THOUGH HIM!!!! They aren't called the greatest generation for nothing.

3. Kind of like the the sale in the grocery store
last week on chuck roasts "Buy one get one Free" neglected to mention that the first one had more than doubled in price. Laughed all the way out the store and eating less meat anyway now.

5. If the Medicare "Reform" Bill comes back to bite Bushista in the...
back end and it seriously contributes to his demise, then Max Baucus and John Breaux have done the party a great favor by getting it passed.
