Al Gore should endorse Bush...
Everyone knows how the Right would go crazy, they call Gore the kiss of death, he should totally say he endorses Bush. Totally say he has changed his ways and seen the light...that the environment isn't important, that global warming isn't a threat, and therefore, he fully endorses Bush and no longer cares what happens to the planet. He also likes the idea of getting the tax breaks for himself, and has decided his selfish interest take precedence over having a compassionate heart for the middle class and poor. He could say that Jesus Christ has now become his favorite philosopher because he now sees all the great things Jesus has aspired dumbya to do, like the zero accountability stance Bush takes. It's time for Al to embrace the light by going to the dark side. Al will need some heavy medication or a lobotomy to fit in, he's way too smart to be a Right Fright Freak.

1. Worst. Idea. Ever. (with apologies to Comic Book Guy)
Besides, Zell Miller and Joe Lieberman are already doing that...without medication.

2. "Ma'am, we have your medication here
and your room is nearly ready. Electroshock is at 6pm tonight and we hope to see you there"....

Sorry, but that truly is worst. idea. ever.

6. Wow...worst idea ever? A bit harsh, I could call a talk radio show
for this kind of impolite response. I guess any idea not in line with some sort of unknown ideology on this forum gets judged by a few people who decide if it's terrible or viable. I hardly think it's the worst idea ever when I've seen polls on here that mean nothing and topics that are unrelated to the cause.
The significance was for it to be the dreaded curse the right claimed when Gore endorsed Dean, if Gore endorsed Bush it would have been a joke, but it would scare the right because they believe in that nonsense. However, the rudeness I received has caused me to lose my sense of humor on this board.

7. Wow! I'm sorry. Your thread was so ridiculous I assumed you were joking
and joined into the fun. Now that I realize you were serious, I'm really scared. To imply that DU has a cadre who determine what is acceptable shows how little you know about this site. To imply that I, personally, am a member of an elite group of DUer's is really hilarious. I've never even been a moderator, and I'm older and far more moderate than the average DUer.

And if you find my response serious "rudeness", then you're a bit too sensitive for the rough and tumble that happens every few minutes here.

Sorry about your "lost sense of humor" but, obviously, it wasn't very well-developed to begin with. JMO.

8. Skeeeewwzzzz Me! But I see the point, and think it's a GREAT idea!
If not Gore, then Clinton! Man! That would throw this country into a heavy dose of reality that is sorely missing!

Reason #1:

It would be too OBVIOUS that it was a slam of the first magnitude. It would be Gore/Clinton showing Americans that they realize just how much of a joke it would have to be for either of them to "support" george the putz bush. It would make the white male GOPers, who are still marginally bright, (it's relative w/ GOPers) realize that bush is such a MAJOR joke that he could be mocked in this way. These GOPers heads would, indeed, explode.

Reason #2:

The sheeple who are NOT quite so marginally bright, would start spinning their heads like the Exorcist should be called. They'd actually think they'd been duped by bush into supporting things that Gore/Clinton could support. They wouldn't know whether to go to the polls or not, come Nov. 2.

Reason #3:

The mockery would so UNIFY the Dems and moderate GOPers, that they would be completely energized and unified in realizing what a travesty the bush administration has been on the country.

Gore/Clinton could state the "talking points" verbatim from the bush speeches, and show just how totally moronic those things sound coming from intelligent people.

This is the type of "shock and awe" event that can show bush to be the joke that he is. I think it's hilarious!

Thanks, Catfight -- your name tells it all! This is the same tact that the "Billionaires for Bush" are calling on when they dress up to "the nines" and show up for bush events, bragging about their tax cuts and how many rolls royces they've bought since bush cut their taxes....how bush relaxing the environmental standards allowed their corporations to cut anti-polluting expenses, and thereby making them so much more successful.

Of course, Gore/Clinton would never DO it, but it's fun to think about.
:kick:
