Even the politically clueless
and out of touch conservatives are not buying Bush* again. I posted before about the apparent shame I see when talking to the big Bush* supporters I ran into at the horse show last weekend. Big show, lotsa cowboys, hundreds of horse trailers and no Bush* stickers. Yesterday I spoke with an acquaintance who is so uninvolved that she thought the big Brown VS Topeka Board of Education celebration was taking place in Lawrence (for those who don't know, we are in Topeka)! We talked a bit and she has decided that Bush* is a liar and a mean person and that she will not be voting for him again. She also said that most of her friends feel the same way (these are the very wealthy cowboy types). Just one more story for you all as things start to get tougher we will need to remember these small victories because put together they are actually bigger than we think.

1. Thanks
Personally, I think the high gas prices are more harmful to Bush than anything else that has happened.

I'm sure we'll see more of those commercials blaming Kerry (30 years ago Kerry suggested that we could consider more gas tax, but he never voted for this proposal, and, hey, what does truth matter in a Bush commercial?), but not everyone watches the commercials, and almost everyone does buy gas.

3. I'm sorry I missed your other post about this.
I see the same thing here in SC. The Bush bumper stickers are FEW and far between.

4. It is a very strange thing.
I KNOW these people voted for Bush* and I know they are and always will be conservative. I do not hear the hubris that you hear on the radio, they all seem ashamed and embarrassed by this bunch. It is not something you see often, shamed cowboys, but I am seeing a bunch of them.

5. Even here in TX I don't see much Bush support
I think it's too much for them to vote Kerry, but I think alot of them will stay home.

6. Me too
and staying home will be good for us. Not as good as voting for Kerry but at least they are turned off by Bush* enough not to want to vote for him.

7. Thanks for the good news!
Important to savor the little victories, if for no other reason than to shore up strength for huge battles!
