3. This BS about the "announcement" in January
was something like "An investigation has been initiated to investigate reports of detainee abuse at the detention centers. No further information is available while these reports are being investigated."

Hardly broadcasting details of the abuse to the world!

come out of the gate yelling the Dems are trying to politicize the war and the prison atrocities.

Which party's strategy was it to run the election on the war?

7. It's just laughable, isn't it?
Now that their only hope at reselection has gone down the shitter, they decide to blame the "politics of war" on Democrats.

Yawn... tired... boring. Nice try, Novakula.

She kissed right wing ass big time, only for that putrid stink bomb to fail.

Named her book, "Anyone Can Grow Up: How George Bush and I Made It to the White House".

18. What's this "No one to replace Rumsfeld" crap?
Edited on Sat May-15-04 06:24 PM by 2004 Victory
Al Hunt says he'll probably stay because there's no one to replace him. Does this mean no one wants to jump on a sinking ship or they have nobody qualified in the Republican party, or both?

Put old Brent Scowcroft in there. At least he argued against the war pre-invasion.

There's worser and worser news coming, like from Sy Hersh today.

If they throw Rummy over now, what will they do when the real bad stuff hits later? So they save Rummy until the goat's really fat, then they scape him.

24. Talking about polls now
O'Biern is saying that polls reflect sour news from Iraq. Despite 'wonderful economic news' people sour on economy. War fundamental to reelection.

Nofacts-Bush should be worried, but it is a 47-47 race. Kerry's problem, domestic affairs, is very dull stuff-liberal claptrap (oh, so people not interested in health care). If things get better in Iraq, Bush ok.

Hunt-people thing America going in wrong direction. A dead even race.

Carlson-less is better for Kerry to do in re: Iraq. But says we can't leave Iraq. Other stuff not making news.

O'Bierne-now saying if Kerry had been serving in the prison, abuse wouldn't have been reported?????

Hunt-bad news for Bush that he's behind.

Incumbants don't win close races-win big or lose big-Mark said that.

Rummy's nomination...going down memory lane....
O'Bierne called Rummy a 'home run'. Wonder what she thinks now?

Nohack-'excited' about Rummy-'a better person because he's a millionaire'.

Now they say-

Nohack-a disappointing SOD
O'Bierne-miss that Rummy's a radical who goes against the grain.
The whole transformation agenda in the Middle East.

She still thinks we are winning in Iraq and that the neocon agenda is on track!

34. Whenever I see O'Beirne
all I can think about is the story of how she, Danielle Crittenden, Barbara Ledeen and Barbara Olson sat on the verandah enjoying gin and tonic and cigarettes while gossiping and berating feminism. Olson called Clinton's mother a barfly (she did have the decency to later apologize). O'Beirne made fun of Tipper's weight and bragged that Laura Bush was perfect.

Ugh.

Shields-Bush-Iraq will become a democracy...if we don't cut and run....shows ignorance of history and dissing GHW Bush

Nohack-Cuban march-calling Bush a facist when they are >gasp< commies?

Carlson-good family values to miss daughter's graduations?

O'Bierne-Teresa Heinz's tax returns-15% of income in taxes-and Bush paid more-nasty "forgetting" Teresa's first name. O'Bierne is just plain nasty

Hunt-women's rights-threat to woman's rights from fundamentalists-Bush hasn't addressed it.

Nohack did a parachute jump yesterday? I'll let you make your own comments here.

money, and effort if he didn't leave the WH. He can collect as much money from his minions staying put. He can just mail in or transmit his speeches. These people who support the BFEE will give money anyway.
All these poor towns paying for protecting him, building sidewalks so his footies don't get muddied....
