Judge Napolitano on O'Reilly - Kerry should be excommunicated for being pro-choice. He called him the most prominant Catholic abortionist of our day. He said that you can't be Catholic and pro-choice. However, a bishop was on and said you CAN be Catholic and pro-death penalty.

Conservatives have thrown down the gauntlet. They are essentially saying that Republicans must reverse Roe v. Wade in Bush's second term. If they don't reverse it now, why should single-issue anti-choicers vote Republican any more?

But it should be made clear to all - if you want abortion to be legal, you can not vote for Bush.

1. You are preaching to the choir. I don't know if RW women really care now
They will care when a loved one is in dire circumstances and needs a legal abortion. And by that time, it would be too late.

18. For those with enough money
and those who are well-connected (i.e. bush campaign contributors), safe, clean, tidy abortions will always be available.

The poor will have to do what they've always done--make their own way, somehow. If god loved them, he wouldn't have made them poor <sarcasm on>.

2. If Bush gets to choose even one Supreme Court justice, yes...
Pray for the good health of Justice Stevens.

4. Maybe, maybe not.
The other side of the coin is that if they actually go and do it, they lose that issue after it's done, and who knows how many people pretty much vote on that one issue.

7. if RvW was overturned
The issue would go back to the states. It would probably remain legal in quite a few states.

6. It won't be
even if chimpy were to get another term. The righties want to keep that issue in play for as long as there is a Xian right wing in the gop. If the pod people really wanted it illegal they had 12 years of Gipper and Poppy and now 4 years of the chimp to make it so.

9. I don't agree, because SCOTUS has a lot longer life than
Preznits. Which is EXACTLY why * cannot be reselected. It will take at least a generation to undo his choices- not to mention the economic harm because of his idiotic 1% tax cuts.

You're so incredibly wrong, though. It's their main issue, but THEN they're going to go after The Pill for single women.

One right at a time, there they go. Until they're all gone. Hope you younger ladies didn't plan on college, law school, or medical school.

Or if you do, don't do any of that darn having sex while you're there. That's only for married women so they can pro-create.

The right-wingers have WANTED it for a long time, but odds were not always in their favor. They didn't always have a completely stacked presidency, house, senate AND Supreme Court (with Thomas, Scalia, and Rehnquist). If Bush gets re-selected, they've hit the trifecta, and women have hit rock bottom.

14. It is already their stated intention to eradicate Planned Parenthood.
They've made that very clear. Calling it a terrorist group once they have Roe v Wade overturned would be a very easy way to get the American public to buy it.

Don't fool yourself.

17. That figures about Napolitano.
I always knew he was a scumbag--anyone who appears on Faux as much as he does has to be. He finally clinched it for me with this cr*p.

I would not be surprised at all if Napolitano is another one of the Opus Dei infiltrators in the Church. All of you Catholics out there (and I'm one of you) need to do everything you can to strip these people of their power both inside and outside the Church. How much you wanna bet the "bishop" on O'Liely was someone like Chaput (archbishop of Denver), who is confirmed Opus Dei? He's the one who was reported right here on DU to also be spinning the next OD talking point, that Catholic politicians who support family planning should be excommunicated too.

By the way, a huge number of people claiming to represent "Catholicism" on Faux are OD. Cavuto is suspected to be, as are Ingraham, Cal Thomas, and Bennett. Santorum, Brownback, Bork, and Novak (among many others) are confirmed OD.
