1 + 1 = Bush Knew About the War Crimes in Iraq
Can this be any clearer ...

Here's the first part ...

source: http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&cid=578&e=1&u=/nm/20040510/ts_nm/iraq_abuse_dc

The Red Cross saw U.S. troops keeping Iraqi prisoners naked for days in darkness at the Abu Ghraib jail in October, and was told by the intelligence officer in charge it was "part of the process," a leaked report said on Monday.

it's time for the "intelligence office in charge" to testify under oath before the Congress ... the entire intelligence community had a black eye because no WMD's had been found in Iraq ... the strategy was to press the Iraqi prisoners to make them crack ... and the authorization for this came directly from Tenet with support from the White House ...

and here's the second part ...

(from the 9/11 sworn testimony of Condeleeza Rice)

At the beginning of the administration President Bush revived the practice of meeting with the director of central intelligence almost every day in the Oval Office, meetings which I attended along with the vice president and the chief of staff. At these meetings the president received up-to-date intelligence and asked questions of his most senior intelligence officials. From Jan. 20 through Sept. 10 the president received at these daily meetings more than 40 briefing items on Al Qaeda. And 13 of those were in response to questions he or his top advisers posed.

In addition to seeing D.C.I. Tenet almost every morning I generally spoke by telephone to coordinate policy at 7:15 with secretaries Powell and Rumsfeld on a variety of topics. And I also met and spoke regularly with the D.C.I. about Al Qaeda and terrorism.

It is totally clear from Ms. Rice's testimony that bush was "hands on" on all details of intelligence operations ... this testimony was given to convince the American people during the 9/11 hearings that the "war on terrorism" and all related intelligence matters were of great interest to the "president" ...

It is also totally clear that one of the high-level intelligence directives was to strip Iraqi prisoners of their dignity to "break them down" so that they would be more likely to disclose the whereabouts of Saddam Hussein and the location of the "imaginary" WMD's ...

bush is guilty of planning, or at least condoning, the criminal abuse of Iraqi prisoners ... and Rumsfeld knew about it ... and Condi knew about it ... and Powell knew about it ... and Wolfowitz knew about it ... and General Myers, head of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, knew about it ...

It's time for impeachment ... it's time for criminal prosecutions of these evil people ... it's time for our Congress to stop playing politics with critical issues like the safety of our troops overseas and our own national security ... bush and his evil minions have got to go ... if the Congress allows the administration to get away with war crimes, it marks the end of our system of checks and balances ...

1. He has tried to portray himself as hands on and alert. OK, we believe you
now. Tell us, what did you know and when did you know it?

2. Condi is probably laying low
because she is Bush's head cheerleader and now she would have to say that Bush didn't know this was happening.

It would contradict her statement that Bush was "hands-on".

The whole administration needs to go.

3. Of course he knew
He may not have seen the pictures, but he knew what was going on.

Bush is setting the tone for everything that happens in his administration. I'm sure he didn't say to his generals to go out and torture Iraqi citizens, but he created an atmosphere that made it acceptable for that kind of behavior. They knew about the Geneva Convention but just chose to ignore it.

bush is a strong leader!/bush knows nothing!
and the list goes on...

5. why isn't america caring about this?
We get so bent out of shape on a simple blowjob, yet when we have our own Iraqi torture chambers and the president didn't stop them, no one cares?

Blowjob = bad, rape, murder, torture = good? huh?

Either he gets credit and takes blame, or neither.

7. He kind of insinuated that he knew in his speech.
Blah blah, military received reports in January, and began investigations.

My string of logic is that since Bush is the commander in chief, he either knew from the military reports or Rumsfeld let him know.

I might be wrong.

9. If Bush didn't know he should have known and is still responsible.
Ignorance on this scale is not an excuse. It is the equivalent of killing a pedestrian in your car and pleading for clemency because you we drunk.
