Kristol trying to link Saddam to Al-qaeda on C-Span

He alleged that there was proof that there were meetings between some of Saddam's regime and al-qaeda members. there may have been, but most people who know about Iraq will tell you that Osama hated Saddam. Just because a few renegade members of Saddam's regime may have been linked to al-Qaeda (there is plenty of evidence that some of Saddam's own official wanted to get rid of him) doesn't mean that Saddam had links to al-aqeda. By that logic, we must admit that Bush is totally responsible for the actions of the 'renegade' military who are quilty of the prisoner abuse. By that logic also, we have to admit that the US had links to al-Qaeda since some US citizens were known al-qaeda members and found on the battlefield in Afghanistan.

From Kristol's comments, just prepare yourselves for the coming neocon movement to link Saddam to Osama and al-qaeda since nothing else has panned out for them.
