i mean softening prisoners up to prep them for the real interrogation is standard procedure right? a little harmless sleep deprivation, some light screaming and threats, and a wee bit of sexual humiliation and a few casual beatings and electric shocks, what's the real harm? we're at war afterall.
why step over the line and call this abuse, or, even the 'T' word? remember folks, these damn iraqis smashed jets into our buildings, and they hate our freedom, and they don't love a neighbor like they'd like to be liked themselves.
i guess my point is, softening up is in itself a horrific form of torture. the term, 'softening up' is understating what it really is. jesus gave us the instructions for handling prisoners of war. do unto others, as you would have them do unto you. you wouldn't like it if iraqi captors softened you up, would you?
