Your header is correct; this is precisely his issue, and were he to have the parallels with the holocaust drawn (they're inferior creatures, etc.) he would scream bloody murder.

This is all causing a terrible rift in the American Jewish community: many are heartbroken by the level of Israel's intransigence and the irrational black and white thinking.

It is sobering to note how many left-leaning Jewish Legislators had no trouble going after Saddam; here in L.A., we have the following Congresspeople who voted for the resolution: Harman, Schiff, Berman and even Henry Waxman.

It is reckless and doomed for Jews to stake the future of their culture on the ability to subjugate an overwhelming majority. Regardlessness of the morality of it, IT SIMPLY WON'T WORK.

Lieberman is a fundamentalist, and as such does not see nuance. He is more dangerous to his own people than most Muslims are, and it's sad to see.

Of all the major religions, I like Judaism the most (admittedly, I don't like religion much at all) and would hate to see it endure another disaster, but thinking like his will hasten just such an event. Lieberman isn't a Republican; yes, he's in the pocket of the accounting industry and an enabler for other industries, but he has a good environmental record, workers' rights record and other philosophical stances that put him outside of the conservative camp. His problem is that he's a social conservative, wants to cram religion down all of our throats, and has a selfish hatred of Arabs that gives him some form of self-appointed right to do with them as he pleases.

Not only can things like this be said, they MUST be.

I would have had to switch to an Independent and vote 3rd party. There is absolutely no way I could ever vote for that POS.

The moment someone like him becomes the face of the Democratic party, it's dead as far as I'm concerned. I'm very glad that didn't happen this time around.
