The Bush scam bus tour he's flying no taking the friggin bus and as if you
Edited on Tue May-04-04 10:48 AM by MSgt213
couldn't tell the questions are planted.

Politics: Bush Bus Tour Scam
President Bush's bus tour is a scam on several levels. First, he isn't actually using the bus: "The bus tour, about 60 miles through western Ohio, actually includes two airplane flights — one from Detroit to Toledo and another from Toledo to Dayton."

Second, Bush skipped mentioning the torture -- and that's what it is, by the way -- of Iraqis in U.S. custody. That's because he did mention that the "world is better off without Saddam Hussein in power," and that "torture rooms are closed." Oh, we closed them, did we?

And when the president opened it up for questions, he had some nice plants such as one, heard this morning on NPR, in which an earnest-sounding man named Joe Francisco asked how he could help the president win more Latino votes in Michigan. Aww. Maybe if the president offered people a chance to become citizens rather than just indentured servants, eh Joe?

Catch-22 ref!

The audiences are hand-picked and ticketed Republican faithful. He is NOT and will NEVER, expose himself to the actual American public.

3. I heard this am that the "bus" he's riding in
for the short segments is one of those rock-star glam jobs - not at all what Rove wants ordinary folks to think of when they hear "bus tour." Another Rove sham.

4. How unsurprising - this guy is a fraud through and through
I heard that same crap on NPR. Sad to say I don't think I can stand to listen to it anymore.

This morning some moronic woman was editorializing about how Clinton was the luckiest pres ever and Bush the unluckiest. She also droned on and on about how different Vietnam and Iraq are.

Yeah, bush was so unlucky that mind-controlling aliens MADE HIM DUPE US INTO A WAR! This after hearing the lame-o replacment for Bob Edwards refer to Kerry as 'the democrat candidate for pres'.

I don't think I can take any more.

15. He said "the Democrat candidate for President"?!?
I suppose, given the Soviet nature of Bushevik Imperial Amerika, that would be entirely unsurpising.

Given that I am not "up to date" on Corporate TV Pravda, including the Best of the Worst of a parasitized Slavish Press Corpse, that being NPR, exactly which Bushevik to provide "fairness and balance" has replaced Mr. Edwards?

17. This was worse...on CNN this morning...
I only heard one minute of it and it was that old hack "journalist" on early in the morning. He was talking about the $billion campaign of 2004 and was I suppose trying to be cynical about both candidates...said Bush was on a bus-tour of the midwest..hah!...like he could relate to the common man that way (good for him for saying that), but then attacked Kerry's ads. He said they were about Kerry as a boy, Kerry grows up, Kerry goes into the Army,,,and another CNN head corrected him...Navy, not Army. Old guy says, whatever and goes on attacking the ad.

Whatever? Gee, I'm so glad these "reporters" or whatever the hell they call themselves on the fricking news channel don't even give a shit if they get the branch of armed forces a candidate was in!

Blatant sick non-news.

You're right Tom it is like Pravda with a slick capitalistic flavor.

The sad thing is I'll probably keep listening anyway, since Dallas radio sucks OUT LOUD.

But no more money. And I miss Bob!

27. Steve Inskeep replaced Bob Edwards.
He used to do the Sunday "All Things Considered".

I'm suprised by him using "Democrat candidate..." because they did a piece about that yesterday on "Day to Day". They played audio from Tom DeLay calling it the Democrat Party and reported it as a slur.

Steve Inskeep must have been asleep.

Don't forget that Bush made recess appointments to the CPB board recently. Don't expect it to get better. Bob Edwards was clearly not ready to leave.

16. Check the front window of the bus
Do they have a little picture of an elephant in the front window, so Georgie will know which bus to get on?

If they don't, Rove must lead him by the hand to the right one.

12. They had snippets on NPR this morning. One was hilarious.
A woman who did some sort of volunteer work or worked for some program (can't recall exactly what, like a program that gets kids and seniors together or something) asked Bush about cuts to funding for her program. Bush fumbled around and said "Were those cuts at the federal level?" She said "yes", and he mumbled something about "well, that's what happens when you're trying to cut the deficit in half."

Moron. He could've probably fully funded the program by axing just Dick Cheney's tax cut.

Not like those programs for kids and seniors. That stuff has to go!

How can anyone with more than a 5th grade education belive anything these con artists say?

14. fake
Everything about Bush is fake and phoney, yet people think he is "so genuine" Its sickening.

Fake president wins a fake election and starts a war based on fake evidence of a fake threat and has a fake photo op on an aircraft carrier then goes to Iraq to pose with a fake turkey and tells a fake story about another aricraft "seeing Airforce One" and has a fake news conference where hes asked fake queestions by fake reporters and now he goes on a fake bus trip.

I'm just curious? Because about the only time during his pResidency, that Bu$h has slept over anywhere else in the USA, was on Sept. 10 -11, 2001.

if anyone wants to see the pics I took heres the link and the link to my posting about it here:

I also have a video that I took while there with all the kerry supporters drowning out the few bushco supporters there. All were chanting, "NO MORE BUSH"

20. "robust job growth"
my home state had the distinct displeasure to host our idiot in chief yesterday. on NPR yesterday morning I heard Georgie was to speak about "robust job growth". WTF???? I choked on my coffee and almost crashed the damn car. He's in MI, which has lost more manufacturing jobs than any other state!!! Robust job growth??? in the Midwest??? um, the people are not that stupid. we also know better than to think Georgie is going to ride on a BUS, pu-leeze.

BushCo's cognitive dissonance is not going to work. Sunshine & roses vs. unemployment & poverty

inmates I see being transported to prisions or out of prisions if you have heard about the closings in Ohio. OH MY GOD, I just remembered, lol. Bush, if he would have drove to Dayton, would have went through a town called Lima, OH. Just not long after he left the tank plant there a year ago, Lima has laid off workers at FORD MOTOR CORP LIMA ENGINE PLANT, OHIO Correctional and Rehabilitation LIMA Prison is closing right now I as I type this(my uncle lost his job)and a number of other places from what I have heard and seen arent doing so good either. Maybe it was just too much for his little brain to handle.....
