Any thoughts on why Joe Wilson's book isn't getting more press?
He practically outs Scooter Libby as the "leaker." Why isn't this book making the papers?

Former Envoy Talks in Book About Source of C.I.A. Leak

Josh Marshall has an interesting take as well:

It may seem that I'm being hyper-specific. But the White House has gone to great lengths not to deny that these men were involved in disclosing Plame's identity. In fact, they've refused to do so. Rather, they've clung to hyper-technical claims that none of the three were involved in the "leaking of classified information" in the hope that journalists will read this as a blanket denial, which is it not.

The 'classified information' dodge allows them to avoid the actual question and hang their hat on technical interpretations about what was a leak and what was classified when.

Given how aggressively the press 'parsed' the former administration's word, this is quite sloppy.

2. Saw him on TV yesterday. I do not recall if I had heard of the book.
Maybe not pushed for sales and maybe early in this type of books. We seem to have a lot of them right now and it is when the War seems to be getting to people as not good. He was the start? Or maybe to early?

3. Tim Russert of Meet the Press
is having Joe Wilson on tomorrow. Perhaps the cable news channels got a memo from Karl Rover telling them not to talk about it. Dunno!!

6. maybe GOP inc. has learned
that if they take to the airwaves lambasting the book and discrediting Wilson that book sales would soar, news/interview shows would be running stories on this all over the place

-- O'Neill was slammed and discredited by GOP Inc. - book sales went up

-- Clarke was slammed and discredited by GOP Inc. - book sales went up

-- Woodward hasn't really been slammed and discredited by GOP Inc., but parts of his book are being pooh-poohed by GOP Inc. - book sales went up. GOPers can hardly mount a full discreditation assault given tthat the book is on their websites as a "MUST READ"

However, just my 2-cents -- give it a couple of more days, and wait for Wilson to appear on the tube, GOP Inc. will be asked to respond in some fashion. Some GOP Inc. mouthpiece will recite the WH-approved script that denys Wilson's 'allegtions', followed weak/pathetic attempts to discredit Wilson

Then the GOP choir will appear singing the same script

7. Has Joe been on Jon?
All the writers of 'big bush books' usually get interviewed on the Jon Stewart Show...clark, woodward, Hughes, etc...

Maybe Joe needs a better agent...

8. Was on Dateline last night and will be on Countdown
next week-sorry can't remember the exact day I heard Keith Olbermann say that Joe Wilson would be on his show--Tuesday or Thursday, I think.
