Bush in freefall! Forget CNN, ABC/WP, FOX; believe CBS
Edited on Wed Apr-28-04 10:38 PM by TruthIsAll
He's down to 46% in the latest poll just out tonight. That's down from 51% in March. His 11-poll average is dropping every month - even with the attempts of CNN and the usual suspects to inflate his numbers.

Remember: CBS is 60 Minutes. They are the only network which cares about democracy.

6. Good point. But CBS is all we have. Consider 60 Minutes.
They have had some great segments in the past year.
1- The Iraq mess
2- O'Neil interview
3- Clarke interview

And others that I forget. I bet they will interview Joe Wilson soon. His book is coming out, so maybe in the next show.

And they had better get a move on the real blockbuster - BBV.

3. freefall but ...
it's important to remember there are two, or even three, horses in this race ...

americans have finally awakened to bush's failed policies ...

the "but" is a recognition that kerry is a long way from closing the deal ... if we're seeing a cleverly orchestrated rope-a-dope, then fine ... but if we're seeing a candidate who has not really justified his reasons for wanting to be Prez, then this is a very dangerous situation ...

i'm afraid it will take more than bush's collapse to blow his sorry ass back to texas ...

kerry needs to stop oink oinking around with these pigs ... he needs to stop slopping around in the mud about all this vietnam business ... the focus of this election is Iraq, terrorism, alliances, jobs, jobs, jobs and integrity ... kerry needs to stay on message on the big issues ...

7. I think
That we are now starting to see the effects of the 9/11 comission and Condi RIce, and Woodward and Clarks books finally tricling down and having effects in the polls. It has seemded to me that duringthis election cycle it is taking at least a month before any major negative revelations percolate through the entire polling demographic and then result in either a rise or drop in the polls depending on the nature of the revelations. I noticed this happening during the pre-primary and finally the primary season where something would be revealed about Dean, and it would sem that he was teflon, as the revelations seemed to have no immediate effect, but then 3 or 4 weeks later, Dean started taking large hits in the polls, while Kerry, who was having his record in Vietnam praised at the same time seemed to be dropping in the polls in December, only to have his numbers start to rise about a month later when nothing in particular was going on in the media.

11. this is frustrating
One week Kerry's up, then the next week Bush is up, and now polls are all over the place. I have no way of knowing what's true. How can anyone know that CBS is right and CNN is wrong? I'm not going to believe one poll over another just because I like the results better.

12. Here is how you know: CNN consistently inflates Bush poll
Edited on Wed Apr-28-04 11:48 PM by TruthIsAll
numbers while constantly whoring for him and bashing Kerry. Don't you think these are related?

And how the hell did Bush pick up a net 13 points on Kerry this past month on CNN? When everything went wrong for Bush?

CNN/Gallup/USA Today is propping him up. Along with WP/ABC and IBD.

Look at the 3 year trend in the numbers. Bush poll numbers have fallen in EVERY month since 9/11 except for two: Mar 2003 (Iraq Invasion) and Dec 2003 (get Saddam).

Why would they go up last month on CNN as they did? Simple. They will not let him sink too far below 50%. That's a corporate decision. It's not a fair poll.

13. When will people start believing in themselves....
believeing in their own 'gut feeling' and not what other people (supposedly) believe? Why do you trust 'other (nameless/faceless) 'people' rather than your own self?

Don't trust believe these 'polls'....it's all false. Believe in YOURSELF!

15. More than toast,. Charcoal maybe.
I saw that earlier and since I have come to distrust the polls because I think they are skewed, I usually shave 10% off of them. When they can't take every advantage and have to show the poll below what they would like it to be, it tells me Boosh is charcoal. :-)

24. Here's my wingnut's response. Classic.
We are at war! The main reason for us to be at war is because of the clintoon's and criminal anti-American's like Gorelick. You will see more and more stuff coming out about this low life, but my God, have you not seen enough about her to even cause you to scream for her removal?! Alas, it is you on the far left that have befallen to the spin doctor's. Don't forget that just in California alone, you are "Four Times" more likely to be murdered than to be killed in combat in both Afghanistan and Iraq! Now that is something you should put in perspective! For example if you want to look at trends, the murder and violent crime rate started to shoot through the roof during LBJ's rein...wonder why?!

Also don't forget that currently the vast majority of voter's are tied to the stock market...the economy is growing at the highest since the Reagan Administration, ergo, even with your loser socialist's doing their best to adversely impact it they have failed, and that is what Kerry will do, but within a month or two, that will even be obvious to all dimwit's, well maybe not all, like those morons who cannot figure out how to punch out a ballot...idiots!

Bremer criticized Bush on terrorism before attacks

Thursday, April 29, 2004 Posted: 8:35 PM EDT (0035 GMT)

WASHINGTON (AP) -- L. Paul Bremer, the U.S. administrator in Iraq, said in a speech six months before the September 11, 2001 attacks that the Bush administration was "paying no attention" to terrorism.

"What they will do is stagger along until there's a major incident and then suddenly say, 'Oh my God, shouldn't we be organized to deal with this,"' said Bremer at McCormick Tribune Foundation conference on terrorism on February 26, 2001.

Bremer spoke at the conference shortly after he chaired the National Commission on Terrorism, a bipartisan body formed by the Clinton administration to examine U.S. counterterrorism policies.

The remarks drew attention on the same day Bush and Vice President Dick Cheney appeared before the September 11 commission to explain the precautions they took to prevent a terrorist attack after taking office in January 2001.
