Bush: "History?...We'll All Be Dead!"
I would like to know people's reaction with Bob Woodward's interview with the Chimp in Chief especially when Woodward asked about how history will remember him in regards to Iraq. Bush replies by saying...."History?...We'll All Be Dead!" Also what do you think he was implying? My reaction was one of having chills down my spine and I tried to put it all together and it would seem to me that Bush really is an Armeggedonist.

:scared:

4. That's what I thought...

...as creepy as Bush is, I don't think he meant it as some are taking it . Although, I don't blame them for being upset. It's just a stupid statement.

3. Sent me through the roof
I started yelling at the T.V.

My husband started yelling at the other T.V.

Words like "Crazy Fuck" , "Insane" "get him out
of power now" and other colorful phrases .

7. The Shallowness of his brain becomes SO evident.
The man is impaired, I don care what they say, he is a nutcase posing as normal, oops, a great leader.

Yeah, he led us during the 9/11 attack to Offut then back to Fla, then to Denver, then China, then Tuva.... before someone told him, "Mr President, I think you should go to Washington, like now."

17. Just a dumb assed answer from a smart mouthed dumb ass!
Much like anything that comes out of the idiot's smirking lips!

So much has been written about George W. Bush and his new emphasis on Christian and Family Values, I can't help but think of my favorite GW quote. At the Republican National Convention in 1988, {George W. Bush} was asked by a Hartford Courant reporter about what he and his father talked about when they weren't talking about politics.

"Pussy," Bush replied.

Could The Commander In Chimp have been talking about GOPers in general since they ALL run away from the military, if there is any REAL danger?

18. Thanks for the reminder of that answer. That was a classic W response
Sounds like he had Pussy on his mind when the question was asked.

Shallow minds give shallow answers.

5. Incredibly ignorant
Considering he was a history major (I think)- Somebody correct me if I am wrong. Still it is a chilling thing to say. Not unlike the way many Americans think, however such as "Why should I save gas/protect the environment/save Social Security when I will be dead in a few years/decades".

10. Can this man be trusted with the button?
Is there anyone who can override his calling for a "nookulur" attack?
Is there any difference between him and a suicide bomber other than he has a bigger bomb? Aren't they both doing it in the name of God?

12. Bush is a dispensationalist
He urged Condi to have the author of the Bible Code and End-Times prognosticator Jack Van Impe to give presentations before the country's top military officials.

20. That would mean the question of historic judgement is never relevant,
which doesn't jive with the fact that many serious people do ask such questions and many serious people try to answer them.

Political writers and reporters traditionally are amongst those asking and answering such questions.

So now we have Woodward writing an historic book, and then claiming history is irrelevant? Doesn't make sense.

14. He's a selfish moron...
that is basically all it amounts too. Those kinds of people only care about the here and now and don't give a rat's ass about what they leave behind. Chimp will be dead...he doesn't care about anything that doesn't involve him. :silly:

19. typical wingnut--short-sighted, can't conceive of future consequences
. . . it seems an evolutionary deficiency in the psyche of the right: they have absolutely no concept of the bigger picture, the interconnectedness of everything, and how there WILL be a future judgment of their selfish, short-sighted, laughably self-destructive actions
