If the US pulled all troops out of Iraq tomorrow would there be Iraqis
in danger? Would Civil War take place and major butchering take place? Could that be a reason that Kerry is hesitant to remove troops immediately? Also I think Kerry may feel like his country Betrayed him and all Vietnam Veterans by cutting and running from Vietnam after we promised to protect them. I am trying to get a handle on Kerry's motives for not wanting immediate withdrawal from Iraq.

1. It would be Civil War and the extremists would take over.
Osama would control another country in the Middle East.

2. And next year, this time, that will be the excuse why
the US can't leave Syria.

3. Unknown. There might be a civil war but there might not.

4. We really don't know.
But I doubt that concern for the Iraqi people is what's keeping us there.

5. I think we (and the Iraqis) are screwed either way at this point.
Every day the dynamic becomes more and more difficult to change. If Kerry were to take office in the next few weeks, there might be a shot. But...November? Yeah, we're fucked.
