2. Agreed, but what really surprises me is if...
...AA is picking up so many new stations while continuing to require affiliates to carry the entire broadcast day, rather than allow those stations to cherry pick individual programs.

8. I believe that
the stations do pick individual programs..I'm in Riverside and all we get is the O'Franken Factor.

9. Good to know...the more flexible AA is, the more stations will air...
...at least some of their output. Any content is better than no AA at all.

7. no Western NY and no PA?
We need something to combat Rush and Savage. We have an election to win people!

AA needs to push hard for swing states like PA and Ohio.

11. Grrr! That "Honolulu" station is really on Maui!
Honolulu KAOI 1110

I saw the word "Honolulu' and my heart leaped... then.. huh? We don't have an 1110! Oh, that's a Maui station! :grr:

AA ought to do well on Maui, though, considering Kucinich actually carried Maui in our Presidential caucuses!

12. Still nothing for Akron-Cleveland
We don't have RealPlayer on our computers at work, and I can't download it due to a security lockout on .exe installations. We do have Windows Media pre-installed, though. But there's no Air America stream for that. (If you're an Air America executive reading this, please take note.)

I'm still hoping for something soon. NPR is okay, but it doesn't hold a candle to genuine talk radio.

what the hell is going on in Beantown ?? seems like this would be a great city for AA ... anyone know the status of this ??

gotta love the call letters for the station AA selected in Northampton ... gives us lefties that nice macho image we've been seeking for so long ...

1400 on your AM dial: WHMP ... do they pronounce this WIMP ??

24. Yep. Me too.
I went to the website for WCHL in Chapel Hill, snagged the station manager's email from the site and sent a hearty THANK YOU for airing O'Franken Factor and The Majority Report.

The station manager emailed me back a nice reply and said to look for MORE Air America programming coming up.

Yesssss!

29. I heard
that the way the stations are around here (i.e. not many and weak power) that the DC Metro area has almost no chance of getting a Air America Affliate. I hope this isn't true, I stream AA at home but in the car the choices are limited (I do love the Pacifica and sometimes the NPR stations though)

18. The great thing about it...
is that people are listing even though it's not very good yet. That's how fed up people are, even with NPR. Just wait until they start honing their formats and personalities. AA is going to ROCK!

33. Boy, do we ever!
Maybe the reason they aren't pushing Texas is because they don't think it's in play this year.

Well, we may not make a difference in the Presidential race, but we need the TRUTH down here to make a difference in a few Congressional and legislative races.

We only need 10 - 15 pickups in the Texas House of Reps to get some control back.

It shouldn't be impossible, and Air America could help.

22. Confused by some of these
Santa Cruz, CA KPEE - Pretty bad call letters. Station non-existent.

Take your pick of these:

http://www.radio-locator.com/cgi-bin/locate?select=city&city=Santa+Cruz&state=CA&x=11&y=4

My money's on KYAA or KNRY. Will they buckle under for KSCO?

http://www.ksco.com/dspNR.cfm?nrid=59

Boulder, CO KBAC 610 - Closest 610 is in Vail, CO, which will sound kinda fuzzy in Boulder:

http://www.radio-locator.com/cgi-bin/url?call=KSKE&service=AM

But it makes sense, since their schedule sucks (except for Alex Jones).

Honolulu KAOI 1110 - Station is in Maui.

Santa Fe, NM KOOT 101.5 - Currently off the air.

Info on these from this site:

http://www.radio-locator.com/cgi-bin/home

40. I e-mailed KIRO in Seattle
to have them swap Lou Pate's 1-5AM slot with Randi Rhodes' 4-hour show... though AAR may be looking for someone to run them exclusive before they'd settle for such a lousy 1-show time slot.
