John Dean Book: "Worse Than Watergate: George W. Bush"
Edited on Sun Apr-18-04 06:58 PM by seahawky
John Dean's book sounds very interesting. It is titled "Worse Than Watergate: George W. Bush. I may pick it up. He is on CSPAN2 now. The book sounds creditable and may be an extremely important book to read for all DUers. The book is about secrecy in presidential administration. Interesting fact: Presidents don't have to go through FBI background checks. Its good to back on this blog.

1. John Dean should know ,all right!
If anyone knows about secrecy, he would be near the top of the list.

2. The book is excellent. Well written, exceptionally well sourced
and presents a very troubling picture. Read - then pass on to any 'fence sitters' - those who think there is something wrong - but who still want to support the president (eg cognitive disonance - that they wouldn't just put us into war for political reasons ... there has to be more than we mere citizens can know...) this is the type of information - so well presented, so logical, and quite disturbing - that will push those fence sitters over their cognitive disonance once and for all (by coming to the conclusion that yes, Virginia, they have and continue to lie.)

4. IMHO, this on C-Span was better than Woodward...Dean told truth
Woodward told "Bush Apologia Lies" trying to save the Chimp's butt.

11. Can't find it in my local bookstores. . .
I ended up ordering it from Amazon but get this--they consider it a "special title" and it's a 2-3 week delivery!
