NY Times Admits Dem Voters are Furious at Bush
NY Times Admits Dem Voters are Furious at Bush - 38% of Americans Believe Bush Stole the White House

Robin Toner writes, "While Democratic leaders in Washington debate strategy and demographics for the 2004 election - the wisdom of campaigning from the left, right or center - something far more visceral is at work in the first caucus state, and in other Democratic redoubts. There is a powerful disdain for the Bush administration, stoked by the aftermath of the war in Iraq and the continuing lag in the economy. There is also a conviction that Bush is eminently beatable and a hunger to hear their party's leaders and candidates make the case against him - straight up, from the heart rather than the polling data... For the past two and a half years, after all, a fairly consistent 38% of respondents in The NY Times/CBS News Poll have said that Mr. Bush was not legitimately elected president." That's incredible, considering the entire corporate media - especially the NY Times - has lied about Stolen Election 2000. E-mail [email protected] and invite her to visit http://democrats.com/2000

2. that is why
other posts that worry "can Dean get out the black vote" ? are a bit silly in my opinion.

This country is polarized by Junior and Rove....noone could keep them away from the polls, not just African Americans but pretty much the entire base of the party.

3. IF we lose this election
we'll go down in history as a laughingstock. It could be the end of the Democratic party, as we know it. To allow the worst president ever 4 more years would be treasonous.

5. Gee they won't allow us to hate Bush?
Rash Limpwad (I listened for 20 seconds I swear) noted that those Dems hate Bush. Wow, cutting edge of societal evolution (what ever that is) observation Rush. Bush is the embodiment of everything a thinking person should find deeply disturbing. Lies, killing, theft, dirty secrets, white male dominance, cronism...

I hate Bush. I hate Manthrax and most of all I hate Rash. Any other questions?

13. My brother was shocked when I told him I despise Bush.
"that's a bit extreme, isn't it?" he said. (he's a pragmatist and a realist, not really left or right.)

I told him that I think he's at once the stupidest and most evil man to ever occupy that offfice, and that he's destroying our country beyond repair. He couldn't really argue, but I guess he's not used to hearing people say it out loud.

It is perfectly natural and normal to hate ignorance, corruption, and incompetence, and Dumbya epitomizes those things like no other politician. I can't think of a single repuke prez who was worse, and that includes Nixon and Hoover.

7. Not exactly going out on a limb
Just reporting the fact that 38% have consistently said "Bush was not legitimately elected". And BTW: I quote: they write "MR. BUSH" Way to go NYTimes!
I notice they've been prefacing his name with "MR." a lot more often than "President" lately!!!

9. Do the math, DLC
Edited on Tue Aug-05-03 10:51 PM by Philosophy
If 38% of all Americans believe Bush* stole the white house, and in this conservative climate due to constant media whore propaganda, at most 50% of Americans would vote Democratic, then presumably that leaves at most only 12% of Americans who are Democrats that respect Bush*. That's the demographic that the DLC claims the Democratic party should cater to, not the angry 38% that is over three times bigger. Wake up and smell the coffee, DLC! :donut:
