Unbelievable Bush Quote Via Atrios
Q: (Egyptian President) Hosni Mubarak is saying the new U.S. policy on the West Bank could escalate violence. How do you respond to his concerns?

BUSH: Yes, I think this is a fantastic opportunity.

1. Well you know, they say he's a straight shooter
And sometimes he says exactly what he means, and then Karl Rove has to take a Xanax.

4. Either he doesn't know what "escalate" means, or he didn't hear
the question at all, and made a knee-jerk reply. Or, maybe he thinks that more violence is just what the ME needs.

5. Mubarek said. . .
in early '03 that the "U.S. invasion of Iraq would create a thousand Bin Ladens."

That's why I was so surprised to see them yucking it up in Crawford on the day before * cut the deal with Sharon, to perminently stoke the ire of the entire Muslim world.

Too bizarre!!!

6. yeah - HE'S history, as far as I'm concerned. One word: Atrocious. Another
word: Atrocity - which is his daily assignment ( go out and see what atrocity you can commit today, gw ) and the word that best describes all aspects of his public service.
