Peckers: One high-school's protest to Hooters
BEAVERTON -- Hooters has some Sunset High School students hot and bothered. About 10 students, including two boys, wore bright pink T-shirts to school emblazoned with a rooster and the word PECKERS.

The Hooters-like twist: The backward K is strategically placed on the rooster to mimic a male organ. The backs of the shirts read: "Cock-a-doodle-doo."

"This restaurant has these waitresses that are unusually busty wearing very tight clothing and using sex just to sell something," says Stephanie Jensen, 18, surrounded by eight others in pink T-shirts.

"It's the oldest trick in the book," she says. "I think girls and women have more to offer than that."

Goes on to say that proceeds from t-shirt sales will go to charity. I saw a picture of the t-shirts on the local tv news. They're excellent. I'll post if I find a website or other way to get one

Fight fire with fire. And humor.

Kudos to the young ones who manage to think despite all efforts to program them!

11. Really.....Every soul must find a niche
Where else do girls with big tits and no brains go to find jobs?
(If they had brains they would be strippers - at least they could make some big bucks and not get BBQ sauce all over their shorts)

14. Are They Really Trying To Say Something?
Or Gather Attention? I Don't Think Those Wearing The Shirts Give A Rat's Ass About The Women Working At Hooter's. They Wanna Be On TV.

These Are High School Students At Sunset High (Very Uppity School District - I Live Close By) Their Shirts Are More Offensive I Think.

BTW, I Like The Wings! They Can Keep Their Tits Out Of My Face For All I Care. I Am More Upset That You Don't Find Many Guys Working At Hooter's. No One Seems To Give A Shit About That, Just That These Women Are Being Exploited (Horse Shit! They Always Manage To "exploit" A Dollar Extra Out Of Male Customers)

most people fail to realize that strippers and Hooters girls are really the ones exploiting stupid men who they make big cash off. nothing to complain about.

18. What difference does it make
it's a clever idea & the t-shirt $$$ is going to charity. It sounds more like one of those ideas too good to pass up, rather than a heartfelt protest, IMO.

But if it's for charity...

19. even if it is for a good cause, there are much more important things
to protest. I'd rather end the quagmire Boy George took us into than Hooters.

20. What is good about the idea at all.
I wonder if they would protest an "eyes" restaurant where the waitresses wore Burkahs. Probably not.

15. These kids are frigging assclowns
As if of all the causes in the world, protesting Hooters is the one they deem worthy. If you don't like a restaurant, DON'T GO THERE. Oh my god, some girls with nice racks use them to their advantage, what an outrage. AND CHICKEN WINGS are involved, the shame.

22. Something very similar happened..
a few years ago. I think the shirts said "Woody's" and the girls were suspended from school. Boys were still allowed to wear their Hooters shirts, though.
