1. Compared to the ravaging the press did to Clinton....
AWOL got a pin prick!

Clinton was a man and held up beautifully in spite
of his torture by the press and the repukes. Lets
see how AWOL handles it. Bet he whines a lot.

9. If he believes in God, Shrub should be afraid!
because of his belief in GOD?

I'm sure that's how some people see it.

I do think that once Chimpy indicated that he doesn't feel any responsibility for 9/11 and doesn't feel that he's made any mistakes for which he needs to apologize, the press should have let it go and ask him questions that were more to the point. His statement that he is waiting to hear to whom we will turn over Iraq, for instance, should have been a red flag. Also, I wonder exactly why he thinks that a "free, democratic Iraq" is going to influence the other nations in the Middle East. A free, democratic Israel hasn't much impressed them.

I think that if people believe that the US is a nation specially blessed by the Almighty and with a mission to bring a better life to the rest of the world, whether that's the plan of the rest of the world or not, then of course their impression of Shrub is going to be entirely different from the impression of those of us who believe that the Almighty doesn't particularly like bullies, no matter why they bully.

4. To many Americans * is "Rain Man"...
a genius trapped in an idiot's shell. Not fair to pick on George because he might start going "ARGHHH!! ARGHHH!! ARGHHH!! ARGHHH!! "

And just like Ray, he keeps a little book where he writes things like "Richard Clarke called me a liar" and "Dad wouldn't let me pick up my golf ball" and "Karl yelled at me again"

7. Brian Lamm set this up so that the PRESS would be criticized, instead of
the PRETZELDENT. Guess it is working. We are supposed to NOT NOTICE that Bush didn't answer any of these questions and that he rambled and answered other questions that were't asked, like "terror, changing the world, blah, blah, blah."

FRIDAYS ARE HOPELESS. c-SPAN IS TAKEN OVER BY FUNDIES AND REPUBLICAN ZEALOTS on Fridays, per Brian Lamm's direction.

13. "The number one enemy to progress is questions." - Jello Biafra
You know, it's funny that Republicans seem to think you should only have some of these rights on paper, like you shouldn't really actually go and exercise freedom of the press or the do the kind of things that that freedom was designed to promote.

14. Excuse me, but those were scripted
CNN even said out loud that the Res wanted the seating arraingments confirmed because he wanted certain questions asked. Those are the questions he wanted and was prepped for. You could tell when he got hit by an unscripted question as he went completely sparrow and wandered all over the place and in the end pulled the typical politico gambit of saying much and saying nothing.

15. radio is more brutal
It's more painful to listen to it on the radio than it is to see him attempt to field it on tv.

I heard Randi Rhodes say the other day, that radio exposes people for the true idiots they really are. Because, it's a single-sense medium. You don't grow distracted by visuals, animated flag graphics, or news tickers.

She's right. Bush's press conference is simply brutal over the radio. He doesn't have a single coherent thought in hishead,

16. I have never ever been able to get in on Friday EVER !
It doesn't take but one interview with C-Span to find out just
how biased for the republicans they really are. Don't get me wrong, I think they give we liberals a better shake than most but I sure was disillusioned after winning the C-Span 25 years contest and then
taped and what I wanted to say never got out there.

I caught Novak in so many lies this AM. He said he went to a party and no political people talking politics they night of the Press conference. What party doe you go to in Washington where people are not talking politics, especially to Bob Novak? A Baby's first birthday party here no adults are present.....Please ! Out here in rural, Ga. where most the folks are either talking God or to the chickens, they were talking politics that night !
