Aljazeera
I have been reading the English version of Aljazeera http://english.aljazeera.net/HomePage .

Why do the republicans condemn this news source?

I have found nothing of substance in their coverage of the Iraq War that is disputed by the western media. Often they are first to report rapidly changing situations in Iraq.

If there is a reason why they should not be considered a legitimate source of news, please tell me what that reason is.

3. They can't handle the truth...
or anything that upsets their little world.

but just beware that al-Jazeera does have some slant to their coverage. It's not hopelessly one-sided, but they often leave a few things out.

Just like everyone else.

An Israeli friend of mine who reads Arabic, a pro-Arab one btw, tells me the Arabic version is VERY different.

5. In the early days of The Glorious War,
Aljazeera was the only news source with anything approaching reliable coverage of American military movements. The irony!

6. Because it is a mouthpiece for terrorists
It is the official station for Osama and his buddies for instance. If you think al Jazeera is legit, then you might as well think Faux news is as well.

7. Republics seem to always kill the massager.
They even turn of their own side if they say something they do not like.
