2. I didn't know Hoover was the attny general. I though he was FBI head.

Is one allowed to be both at once? In fact, now that I think of it RFK was the atty General for JFK's administration. I think that Ashcroft has to win by default.

5. It was his "hope" to be appointed Attorney General,
after Dewey would be elected in 1948. Accordingly, he "leaked" whatever he thought to be useful to the Republican Party. Ultimately, he dreamed of being appointed to the Supreme Court!! WHAT A SICKENING THOUGHT!!

Didn't Bork get to be acting AG for a while because he was the only person Nixon could find who was low enough to fire the special counsel? The Saturday Night Massacre--everyone resigned rather than follow unethical orders... everyone except that fat king-tut lookin' bastard.
