Lehrer report: Turmoil in Iraq
wonder who they'll have on for balance, to tell us not to pay any attention to the unimportant blips of violence?

one of Rumsfeld's traveling band of reporters, cited at DU here, armed with their reporting points?

2. gee, what a surprise
he talks about the "four American civilians" who were killed, their bodies dragged through the streets

NOT ONE WORD about them being contracted to the army!

much less their being mercenaries.

did that word disappear from the media lexicon, BTW?

so much for PBS

Seacrest OUT!

4. Iraq
I watched and was surprised that Luger came down so hard on the administration. They are clearly frustrated - and when the head of the Foreign Relations committee speaks out so directly against the President - then we should all be very worried.

This is all so surreal to me. We invade a country - under false pretenses and are outraged that the population of that country has a problem with us being there - and are horrified over the acts of violence perpetuated against Americans. Despite the official spin that 78% want us there -- country wide that number doesn't hold up. I heard a story on NPR which stated that in a nationwide poll only 50% were happy we came BUT of those same 50% a majority of them want us to leave- they view us as occupiers. When one sees kids desecrating the bodies of American's one can only conclude we have spawned a whole new generation of terrorist recruits. The arrogance of this administration and the citizens who support us imposing our will on this country is just astounding to me and I don't get it. I never will get it.
