BBV: Don't Wait For a Combined Voting Rights Bill. Ask Your Senators to
(BBV=black box voting=voting with a paperless electronic machine)

Don't Wait For a Combined Voting Rights Bill. Ask Your Senators to Support "The Voter Confidence Act" Now.

On March 10, 2004, Senators Bob Graham and Hillary Clinton held a joint press conference to announce that they were going to introduce a new bill together to protect citizens' rights to have their votes counted accurately.

They revealed an acronym, The RECORD Act ("Restore Elector Confidence in Our Representative Democracy Act.")

They didn't reveal the text of the bill.

1. Zogby just asked me that in a survey.
But it made no mention of it being a democratic or repug bill.

strongly agreed that every individual vote be counted

Way to go Hilliary and Bob!

2. I'm not enthusiastic about Hillary Clinton on this issue.
I'm not enthusiastic about Hillary Clinton on this issue.

She introduced a bill which DOESN'T require voter-verifiable paper ballots, and her negotiations with Bob Graham for a compromise bill are holding things up.

I discuss this at MoveLeft Media:

5. I agree Eric
Support HR2239 / S1980. It has been weeks since the bill was about to be introduced.

We stopped it from being submitted, was given a chance to review and comment upon it, the 3 Senators negotiated some changes, and still the bill is not submitted and available for review.

Until then, it is vaporware. Demand passage of the 2 bills we know, however flawed they may be: they are better than nothing.

6. Call your Senators about 1980
Clinton's bill was a dangerous disappointment.

Mandating Voter verified paper ballots it NOT negotiable.
