Kerry Fundraising breaks all records
Wow, wee did it but still need more.

The Kerry campaign broke record after record for fundraising for all preceding presidential campaigns, Democratic and Republican, in the 1st quarter of 2004:

More than $50,000,000 – total raised in any quarter

$38,000,000 total raised in any month (March)
$36,000,000 total raised from grassroots contributors in any quarter
355,000 total number of grassroots contributions in any quarter
$26,700,000 total raised online in any quarter
$2,600,000 total raised online at JohnKerry.com in one day ( March 4, 2004 ) http://www.johnkerry.com/

2. Congrats to Kerry but...
While Im happy that Kerry actually stands a chance of matching Bush dollar for dollar it sickens me that anyone needs to raise this kind of money just to run for office.

i'd be happy if they let shrub go crazy and save the money for later.

they're running ads up here like the primary is next week.

4. Unfortunately, Bush will spend millions...
...to secure 4 more years, to steal billions. All the while, his proxies will whine about "liberal groups" and "liberal media" hating on poor wittle Bush.

5. When we take the Presidency, House and Senate
we MUST!!!!, institute TRUE campaign finance reform. All television and radio stations must be required to give equal air time to ALL candidates free of charge. This is the most important aspect of reform. It simply has to happen for anything to change.
