What a call after the news from Fallujah this morning. I'm sick.

the reality of it. There's nothing you can do but realize that you're not alone. We're all hurting. Mothers hurt the most, I think.

4. Thank you. My son just got back from Afghanistan
I was finally able to sleep. Now, this. I know we're not alone and she's putting on a brave face. I have to, too.

5. I'm so terribly sorry to hear this.
My mothr worried constantly when I was In Saudi Arabia during the 1st Gulf War and I could never relate as I never felt the danger that much.

I think only parents can truly appreciate what you're going through right now. Nevertheless you and your family have my best wishes.

6. You make a great point.
It's never as scary when you're in it, as it is when you're worrying about it. Thank you for reminding me. My son couldn't understand why I was worried about him in Afghanistan.

I got out of the Army before the Gulf War. One of my best friends went. She had just had a baby and I was hysterical for her. She couldn't understand why I was so worried, either. She was living it, I was worrying about it. I'll try to keep that in mind.

17. I'm glad. And know my prayers are with your family, K.S.!
All of them actually, but to get double-whammied as you have when you also are one of those painfully aware that the whole "war" is just greed gone insane is an especially harsh blow. Hang in there. :pals:

16. Kimber.....................let me hold your hand in spirit as you go
through this. My daughter was sent to Saudi Arabia in GulfI. I was beside myself with fear. I understand your worry and panic. It is not a good situation over there but we hold on to hope that she will make it.

If I can suggest something: I joined a group of military families, with person's engaged in war; I went each week for support and words from the battle field. It really helped.

I will hold you and your family and DinL close to my heart....

...........
