Treasury Secretary John Snow says outsourcing can help economy

Associated Press

CINCINNATI - Treasury Secretary John Snow says outsourcing of American jobs, a hot issue in the presidential campaign, can help make the economy stronger.

"It's part of trade," Snow said. "It's one aspect of trade, and there can't be any doubt about the fact that trade makes the economy stronger."

Snow said in an interview with The Cincinnati Enquirer that technology is allowing American companies to get smaller and more efficient by linking to contract workers over the Internet.

"You can outsource a lot of activities and get them done just as well, or better, at a lower cost," Snow said during a stop in the city Monday. "If we can keep the American economy strong and growing and expanding, we'll create lots of jobs."

1. Keep it up, Snow
Keep proving that the Repugs don't give a shiite for regular folks. Keep proving that your version of "the economy" doesn't have anything to do with people having jobs and making their house payments.

Bring it on, Snow.

3. Bush and Snow look at the economy from the dollar viewpoint,
and business has been making tons of dollars from off-shoring jobs.
That, technically is good for the economy, you can't argue that (semantics)
what us common Americans consider when we talk about the economy are jobs then wages for those jobs and BENEFITS.
When business does not have to pay decent wages, no insurance benefits, yadda, yadda, yadda, it is CASH in the CEO's pocket.
Cash in the stockholder's pockets, and a healthy economy for the company.
Further proof Bush doesn't give a shit whether Americans starve or not.
