If Clarke was so "out of the loop", then why did Condi...
put him in charge of the crisis center on 9/11? No one denies this happened, Clarke said he was one of the few people who stayed behind in the WH. Why did they do that if he's now supposedly an incompetent?

No ifs, ands, or buts about it.

2. I enjoyed the dual nature of the slimings today.
They tar him as an unstable ingrate who they were well rid of, but release his resignation letter and trumpet that he was so sedate and complimentary of Bush. (Anybody who has two brain cells knows that you pack a resignation letter full of that kind of flummery. I can't believe anyone objective buys that load for two seconds.)

4. He WAS the loop
Sounds like he was running the show on 9/11 while bunnypants was skipping around the country and Dick Cheney was looking grave.

5. Trying to have it both ways...
Unsuccessfully I might add. They have told so many lies they can't keep them straight. It would be amusing if it wasn't so outrageous.
