1. There is one with a white male and one with a white female.

Still, we all know damn well who they are targeting IN PARTICULAR. Who has more and better options in this society? Peace.

3. not enough minorities! not enough whites!
sometimes I think people just enjoy protesting.----

"About 10 people gathered in front of Agate Hall on Friday to protest what they called a lack of representation of different kinds of women in "The Vagina Monologues" production, which ran Thursday through Saturday at the Agate Hall auditorium.
In flyers handed out to audience members at the show, University graduate Nicole Sangsuree Barrett wrote that while there was "diversity" in the show, it was minimal. Women of "a variety of skin colors, body sizes, abilities and gender expressions" were not adequately represented, she said.
"I would just like to call attention to the fact that this could have been a more diverse cast, but a safe and welcoming environment was not created for people that I consider to be 'underrepresented,'" Barrett said in the statement. "

4. They just showed one with a white male
He was riding with his dad in his dad's pickup truck. They were listening to country music. I guess the Army marketing people read this thread. :)

5. It's not just about race.
It is also about CLASS. Which is not to say that only working-class people listen to country music. If you are not rich or middle-class, you are fair game for the recruiters.

6. Hispanic one here in Texas. Really got me upset.
No verbal mention of the Army, just a freshly cut young Hispanic 18 year old male explaining to his worried mother something about effort, discipline, purpose, and being able to get a college education -- because he knew that was so important to his mom.

Then it cuts to Army of One, goarmy.com.

Made me ill, thinking about that kids wanting an education, his mom looked worried, and he's willing to risk getting his limbs blown off for an education and a job in an economy where the wages are being ridden down by this "global economy" ruse.

7. Exactly what I am thinking.
I kept waiting for Moms to say: "IF YOU COME HOME ALIVE AND IN ONE PIECE." Too many people of color are buying into the bullshit.
