I must have seen Rumsfeld a dozen times in flipping channels last night. After an unusually intense week in which I had been focused on work from 6 am to midnight, it was as if I had stepped out of a cave into this world where Donald Rumsfeld is a huge celebrity and everyone in Iraq is really happy and prosperous and glad we invaded and took over their country and the whole thing was a super good idea.

I'd put my money on a monkey any day over Bush. I was unfortunate to live under his regime in Texas for 4 years. I was born and raised in Massachusetts so you can only imagine the adjustment to living in Texas. While i lived there the only thing that shruya did for the state was allow all of to pack heat in church and kept our watches working as every monday night at 6:00 pm sharp someone was getting to put to sleep in huntsville. thankfully we have moved again but this time to California.

Forgive me, but I'm the kind of person who tries to imagine how that would work. So I'm picturing Donald Rumsfeld doing his job, and he's got this extra-tall desk or shelf kind of thing where he stands to read and sign the papers he has to read and sign, and it has a computer that he rarely uses and a speaker phone, and the rest of the time he either stands or walks around, telling other people what to do. So he's got super-cushy carpet in his offices and wears really comfortable shoes, and my guess is he never has to spend more than a minute or two giving serious thought to any one thing.

Wonder how close I am.
