4. The subject line and the entire text of the message which starts the thread may not include excessive capitalization, or excessive punctuation.

4. The search on there reveals seven pages.
"Riddled"?

:eyes:

They appear to be reprinted articles from other publications as well. Does Drudge mention that? Of course not.

16. How do we get a snapshot of the Drudge Report?
Edited on Mon Mar-08-04 01:48 AM by scottcsmith
If you go to Drudge and put "fuck" or "shit" into HIS search engine, you'll pull up more articles than are at Kerry's site.

However, when I was trying to look at Drudge's archives that contain the swears, I got an error message about the archive not being available. How much you want to bet that Drudge is yanking the archives on his site with the swearing? When I put in "fuck" I got 11 hits. I bet tomorrow morning it'll be zero hits.

What a "journalist" - he trolls DU and puts cuss words in a search engine, that's his "research."

You know, I didn't much like Kerry - but these attacks are changing my mind. Good work, Drudge!

11. Desperate Drudge
In his typical, inaccurate style, Drudge's report on Kerry's web site being "riddled with obscenities" omits one important piece of information: the obscenities are simply magazine articles reproduced for the site -- magazines like Rolling Stone and Men's Journal.

When I put "fuck" into the search engine it pulled up FIVE articles, as did the word "shit." I don't know how many pages are contained at his domain, but I'd hardly consider four or five articles (the search engine brings up duplicates) out of potentially hundreds the definition of "riddled."

Not one of the articles was written by Kerry or his staff.

14. HA! On his knees for the warmongers and he wants to talk obscene?
Edited on Mon Mar-08-04 01:43 AM by nu_duer
A fake journalist licking the ass of a fake president who orchestrated a fake war that killed hundreds of real heroes now wants to talk about things obscene, eh?

I cannot wait for the day, coming soon, when he and scumbags like him are driven back to the sewers from whence they slithered. And this time I hope we seal that cesspool once and for all.

What a bunch of anti-American pigs.

15. Kerry uses the "f" word in interviews
Frankly, I don't think that is such a hot idea. I'm no prude, got a bit of a potty mouth myself, but I do expect a presidential candidate to have a certain amount of decorum.

Profanity, when used at the inappropriate time, really only makes you sound stupid.

21. Locking
Rules to start discussion threads in the General Discussion forum.

1. If you start a thread in the General Discussion forum, you must present your opinion in a manner that is not inflammatory, which respects differences in opinion, and which is likely to lead to respectful discussion rather than flaming. Some examples of things which should generally be avoided are: unnecessarily hot rhetoric, nicknames for prominent Democrats or their supporters, broad-brush statements about groups of people, single-sentence "drive-by" thread topics, etc.

2. The subject line of a discussion thread must accurately reflect the actual content of the message.

3. The subject line of a discussion thread may not include profanity or swear words, even if words or letters are replaced by asterisks, dashes, or abbreviations.

4. The subject line and the entire text of the message which starts the thread may not include excessive capitalization, or excessive punctuation.

5. If you post an article or other published content which is from a conservative source or which expresses a traditionally conservative viewpoint, you must state your opinion about the piece and/or the issues it raises.

6. You may not start a new discussion thread in order to continue a current or recent flame war from another thread. The moderators have the authority to lock threads in order to contain flaming on a particular topic to only one thread at a time.

7. Discussion topics about the Democratic presidential primary are not permitted in the General Discussion forum, and instead must be posted in the General Discussion: 2004 Primary forum. Passing references to the Democratic primary candidates are permitted, provided that the overall topic of discussion is not directly related to the presidential primary or the primary candidates.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation,
DU moderator
