Question: Where has Nader been the last three years?
I am very disappointed that Nader is running again; I'm afraid he's going to screw up this election too.

But aside from that, I have a basic question. Nader is supposedly outraged at what chimpy has been doing the last three years. Why hasn't he said so before this? Where has he been? I haven't seen any press statements, press conferences, even editorials until he announced Sunday. If he's such a 'liberal', he would have been screaming about chimp et al, starting in December 2000.

Where has he been?

1. I got severly slapped for asking that!
Really, the PM's were amazing when I asked that on Sunday. Seems that his anti-war statementsz on several occaisions were "the only time the GOP media *let* him speak."

My guess: he was too busy visiting Grover Norquist and pals. He sure wasn't working hard to lead any opposition.

3. Well I think he has been out there and margianalized
just like Dennis has been.

Only reason he is in the media now is the GOP want to play the spoiler card. *sigh*

Can't wait til we get ranked voting, open debates, and clean campaigns in this nation, I really can't.

11. Don't compare Nader with Kucinich
Dennis Kucinich understands how you change the system - you work within the Democratic Party. He may disagree with many in the Party, but he understands that its the only viable progressive voice in the United States. He also understands that Nader is hurting his own causes by campaigning against that Party.

4. That's my guess too
and I'm sorry you got 'slapped' for asking that question. It's a valid question! And if the GOP media wouldn't 'let him speak', how about using alternate forms of communication - like the internet, for instance?

5. Yikes! I have asked that question too and more people agreed
than disagreed. Sorry!

Don't you get the impression that Nader is being an opportunist? His timing is suspect. I think he want's to go after the Dean supporters who are angry with the choices they are now having to make between Kerry and Edwards. I am like you, if he cared about the state of our country, he would have speaking out for the last 3 years. I think he is so egotistical and he sees an opportunity to snatch up the pissed off Dean supporters and is taking it. Not all of them will follow Nader, but I am sure some of them will. In the end that will be terrible for the democratic party and great news for the republicans. The republicans would love nothing more than a divided democratic party this year.

7. Speaking of TV...
Why did Nader choose to announce his candidacy on General Electric's NBC? He hates corporate control of Washington yet jumps on a defense contractors network to plug himself?

10. Saying the same things he's saying now
News flash: he's only getting coverage because he's a flavor of the week. After a few days, he will be ignored by the media like he usually is.

13. Maybe...
but the corporate media may give Nader lots of coverage.
It would help their candidate (Bush) while giving them a phony defense in regard to their right wing bias. Nader will probably get alot of coverage, unlike Earl Dodge (Prohibition Party) or Mike Badnarik (Libertarian).

14. Nader said he would stay out if the Dem nominiee was D.Kucinich or H.Dean.

But since the Dems have gone with the establishment's choice of Kerry, ...

oh well...

And your right, Ralphey is not helping the Democratic party out after they marginalized him for years too.
