1. Maybe, unless the rest of the world views the election as stolen again.
They see the picture more clearly than we do. They know he stole the election and probably know they are ready, willing and able to do it again.

I just hope we send him back to Crawford to play with his chainsaws.

6. I think we all better care . . .
we are, after all, citizens of the planet first, and citizens of the US second . . . it's not a matter of positions; it's a matter of respecting other nations and not telling them "we have the power, so it's our way or the highway" . . . nations will always disagree on a multitude of issues, but that doesn't mean they can't work together with civility and mutual respect . . . the US has gotten away from that, and our international relations have suffered greatly because of it . . . not to care what other countries think of us is arrogant and Bush-like . . .

7. gee, since Dubya has harmed our interests across the world
by his lying, asshole statements, by his anti-intellectual, anti-enlightenment, religious nut attitudes and we do happen to trade with nations across the world who hold our RECORD trade and budget deficit dollars to prop up this house of cards Bush has made of America...

maybe it does matter.

Maybe it matters that America has allies...or do you want American soldiers to go w/o leave, and Nat'l Guard to become, essentially, a hidden draft?

No, we don't live in utopia.

right now, I feel like I'm living in a hell that Bush and this fascist cronies made.

Of course he does have some allies...Italy. The UK..but people in the UK, contrary to the distorted polls reported here, DO NOT support Bush, and if a pol wants to get elected there, they have to consider the will of their people.

What an incredibly blind remark.

5. yeah, well

A few thousand votes here or there ... a hell of a lot of USAmericans still voted for him. Deluded and lied to on a daily basis from all sources, and acting against their own best interests, as they may have been.

It becomes increasingly difficult to say, of the great USAmerican public, "forgive them, they know not what they do", when what they do is so bloody obviously really really not nice for so many other people in the world who get no say in it at all.

Elsewhere's Daughter has a point.

9. well according to Osama, that's why civilians are legitimate targets
according to him, he's perfectly justified in attacking civilians because we live in a democracy, and we approve of our leader's actions.

Kind of an interesting point of view, no?
