4. I'd hit Chimp with the "Are you better off" line in the first debate...
The Repugs got giddy when Saint Ronnie used that line so I'd fire it right back at em. Nationally televised debate, throw that one at Chimpy and let him stumble around it. When he tries to use the Terra card I'd ask him why the alerts keep going up a step if we're so damn safe under his watch.

9. I think you may have hit upon something.....
Since we know the Shrub plans on running on his war and the capture of Saddam Hussein, every time we agree with his war and how much safer the world is without Saddam, we empower him and his chances of winning in November. If we are to win, we must weaken his position on the war. We cannot go around agreeing with him. And the fact that stands out about the war, right up front and naked, is the fact that he lied. He lied. It's the Truth, Stupid. I think that would be an effective political slogan.

10. Trying for the ones outside the choir.
Republicans are starting to grumble. I want a constant reminder. Hell everyone knows Politicians lie. Not new info but the Deficit hits a nerve. We need it in their face. Simple and effective. It is to remind every Democrat that the key talking point with traction is the Deficit. Calling Bush* a Liar is true but most consider it quite offensive and are put off by it. Reminding them constantly of the Deficit is powerful.

13. how do we know they're offended by "liar?" Nobody's tried it
Everybody TELLS us that the L word is off limits, but why?

The truth -- is that he lied.

I like "it's the truth, stupid".

the man can't even tell the truth about a poem somebody wrote for his wife.

That's disgusting.

11. It's not the deficit, it's where the money is being spent....
If the money were being spent to provide healthcare for eveyone, would there still be a cry about "the deficit" at DU?

I object to the massive "defense" spending.

12. Jobs.
It isn't just the economy - it's jobs. If we want an issue, that's it. There are many underemployed people...and there is NO sign it's getting better anytime soon.

14. It's the 9-11 cover up, stupid!
The only thing that will work. If Bushco is allowed to continue to exploit 9-11 and use the War Of Terror as a bludgeon to use against Dems, there is no hope.

The truth must be revealed. Kristen Breitweister and Ellen Mariani must be heard. Anything less is a crime against the American people.
