did anyone else hear this guy on msnbc say that McDonald's...
...is the epitome of family values?

he was talking about how kobe bryant was dumped as a spokesman by mickey-dee's. he said that McDonald's is the epitome of family values and they had to cut him.

WTF????

selling greasy, colesterol-laden food with the nutritional value of styrofoam is a family value?

1. Seeing how most parents are too lazy to cook for their kids...
they may have become a family value.

7. This comment is so wrong, it doesn't justify a response
But I'm going to make it anyway.

That's an awfully broad brush you paint with. Every parent on DU should be insulted by your comments. I know I am.

5. agree their fries are the best, but
Ronald McDonald has done lots for children with cancer.
There used to be Ronald McDonald homes for parents to stay in while their children had cancer treatments. I know they have donated lots of money to children's cancer funds.

Although I haven't heard much on this lately. I assume they are still doing these things at least I hope so.

6. It's a matter of Branding
And yeah, McDonalds has successfully branded themselves as a family friendly corporation. Would it be better if families ate together homemade food in their homes? Yep. But given work schedules and what not, McDonalds allows families without a lot of time to still eat together on occasion.

Plus I like their Fish Fillets and Chicken McNuggets.
