2. It seems a bunch of professional litigators bought the name
and rights to some software. Which they, totally unfoundedly, allege has been copied by Linux developers. Of course, every code Linux has leeched from is public domain or BSD-licensed (free to use).

3. Microsoft's investment - and fees - saved SCO
I thought they were a shell with a few lawyers from M$ cross appointed into SCO's staff.

I'm still not sure that they are more than that.

They're bitching that they and M$ can't compete with Linux and they want congress to protect them. Here's a news flash: Your products suck, that's why you can't compete. Yet another example of personal responsibility...
